About this property
Stargazer Cabin: Skydeck, Fire Pit, Wood Fireplace
Escape to this warm 2BR/1BA Blue Ridge cabin. The highlight? A private Skydeck for stargazing. Unwind by the authentic indoor wood-burning fireplace or gather around the outdoor smokeless Breeo fire pit. Rain or shine, the covered porch is ready for relaxation. A full kitchen for cooking or reheating local eats. Perfectly situated near downtown Blue Ridge, Ellijay, apple orchards, and local wineries. Accessible via a manageable gravel driveway. Your cozy mountain observatory awaits!
Welcome to your private mountain escape!
Tucked away in the peaceful beauty of Blue Ridge, our cabin is designed to be a "home away from home." Unlike massive, impersonal lodges, our space is intimate, warm, and full of character. Whether it's a sunny afternoon or a rainy mountain morning, we have a spot ready for you to relax.
The Skydeck & Outdoor Living: We believe life is better outside, so we created multiple ways for you to enjoy the fresh mountain air:
• The Skydeck: The crown jewel of the cabin. Elevated for clear views, it is your private planetarium by night.
• The Fire Pit Experience: Gather around our premium Breeo fire pit. Because it’s a smokeless design, you can enjoy the warmth without the stinging eyes. We’ve surrounded it with four sturdy Polywood adirondack chairs, making it the perfect spot to sip a glass of local wine or roast s'mores while recounting the day's adventures.
• The Covered Porch: Don't let a little rain change your plans. Our covered porch allows you to sit outside and listen to the rain fall on the trees with a hot cup of coffee—pure mountain therapy.
Indoor Comfort: Inside, you’ll find a space built for "hygge" (that feeling of cozy contentment).
• The Living Room: The heart of the home features an authentic wood-burning fireplace. There is nothing quite like the smell and sound of a crackling fire to warm you up after a day of hiking or apple picking.
• Kitchen & Dining: Whether you plan to channel your inner chef or just need a place to warm up takeout, we've got you covered. The kitchen is fully equipped for prep, or for plating delicious leftovers from the amazing restaurants in Blue Ridge and Ellijay.
• Bedrooms: Two comfortable, private bedrooms (featuring one King bed) with soft linens ensure a restful night's sleep.
Guest Access Contactless Check-In: No need to worry about meeting a host for keys. You will receive a unique, secure entry code for our smart lock before your arrival, allowing you to check in effortlessly.
Parking & Arrival: You will have exclusive access to the entire cabin and grounds. There is ample driveway parking available right in front of the house.
Location Highlights: We are perfectly situated for exploring the best of the North Georgia mountains. You are just a short drive from two distinct mountain towns:
Downtown Blue Ridge (The Local Hub)
• Vibe: Upscale mountain charm with a walkable main street.
• Must-Dos: Hop on the Blue Ridge Scenic Railway, browse high-end boutiques, or grab a gourmet dinner.
Downtown Ellijay (15-20 Minute Drive)
• Vibe: Known as the "Apple Capital of Georgia," Ellijay offers a warm, nostalgic small-town feel.
• Must-Dos: Visit the Georgia Apple Festival (in season), try the famous fried pies at a local orchard, or grab a wood-fired pizza and explore the antique stores.
Local Wineries & Breweries
• Sips with a View: Visit Bear Claw Vineyards (Blue Ridge) or take a scenic drive to Engelheim Vineyards (Ellijay) for rolling vineyard views.
• Local Brews: Check out Grumpy Old Men Brewing, Tipping Point, or Cartecay River Brewing Co for a post-hike cold one.
Other Things to Note
• Firewood Policy: The hosts have a limited supply of firewood on property for you to enjoy. If you plan on enjoying roaring fires in the wood-burning fireplace or the Breeo fire pit throughout your stay, please pick up extra bundles on your way in.
• Where to buy: We recommend South Ellijay Firewood for great local wood. You can also grab bundles easily at Walmart or Ingles in Blue Ridge.
• The Drive: The road to the cabin is gravel, but it is manageable and standard car-friendly (no 4x4 required).
• The Vibe: This is a place to unplug and reconnect. While we have fast Wi-Fi, we encourage you to spend time on the deck looking up!
