Interactions with the host were pleasant. Love the neighborhood and the vicinity to Italian Market, great restaurants and 4th St vintage shops. The apartment itself is fine, especially if you only intend to use the bedroom on the top floor. One of us who used the bedroom in the basement did not sleep well both nights due to a noisy HVAC system that is directly beside the bed. Maybe the closet housing the HVAC system could be insulated somehow? Upon our departure, dirty, moldy dishes were found in the dishwasher. Kitchen has only the VERY basics - does not have a coffee maker. The narrow, windy staircase is only for the fully able. A bit more attention from the host and this will be a much better spot!
