Beach perfect

We loved everything about our stay. A perfect way to explore the upper peninsula. Will definitely stay there again.

A whole lot of cutesy, not enough Clean.

We chose this particular rental based on location and reviews.The location was fabulous but the online reviews didn’t hold up.Upon entering I noticed floor sweepings from a waste pan in the garbage can which I thought was peculiar as the trash would have been taken out prior to our arrival. I did a quick walk through before unloading to check to see if bed linens were clean.All were with the exception of 3pillow cases which we changed out with bed linens that were there.We noticed debris on all floors throughout cottage,kitchen countertops and most every surface. Open shelves are a cute idea but require weekly cleaning that was obvious that they didn’t receive.Drinking glasses had a grease haze with dust attached and every drawer and cabinet had crumbs and debris in them.My family spent 1.5 hours cleaning the rental prior to our retiring to bed at midnight.We swept the entire rental, cleaned glasses, mugs, flatware, dishes, pans in the amount that we would be using and placed on a counter top that I had to clean.I messaged the owner to let her know the lack of cleanliness upon our arrival so she could notify her cleaning company.The owner snapped back that she has repeat customers and that she cleans it herself.She told us we could leave and she would refund our money and fees with VRBO. It was 11:48pm. We just cleaned her rental to a point that we felt we could stay. Not sure where we would have gone at this hour.In retrospect we should have left. Needs a good scrubbing.

Beautiful beach house

We loved the location and the house. It was an honest price for a peace of paradise. Our family is so glad we found this hidden gem. Liz was a wonderful host and respectful of our privacy while being available whenever we needed. We genuinely look forward to visiting again

Anniversary Vacation

We truly enjoyed the location and walks on the beach. You might want to consider updating your photos to include the newly constructed two stall/two story garage that has your office/living space in it. That was a bit of surprise to us when we arrived and when you arrived part way through our time there.

Love the place and everything about it. The only thing I suggest is replacing the matress in the lakeview room.

We reside in Spread Eagle WI. We live on a chain of inland lakes but we are just crazy about the 'big' water of Lake Michigan. The wildflowers, solitude, and beach walks. Does it get any better? Did we mention the stars? One more perk ...My husband and I own an AVEDA day spa. Needless to say the cottage and sauna are well stocked with skin care, body care and hair care products. Great for a 'girls week-end' or a much needed personal retreat or a couples get away. Any questions or if you not seeing the dates you are looking for please email. Calendar is blocked for privacy reasons. Please call to inquire on number of days minimum stay and availability.

Why they chose this property

R&R peace and quiet. The sounds of nature. The trance of the waves. If you need a little shade we have a hammock hanging under the cedar trees canopy. Another great place to rest or read a book is the beach/screen house. Or if you're part cat you might want to relax in the sunshine on a down filled comforter in the sleeping porch. We only have room for small groups. By no means a resort or campground.

What makes this property unique

Wake up and have a beach day! We have a gas grill on the patio and a charcoal grill on the beach. Stroll the miles of beach and collect driftwood, fly a kite, watch for wildlife, chase the gulls or marvel at the eagles soaring. When you've had enough take a nice nap in the screen house. Enjoy the quietness.
