First this isn't just a place to stay its a destination.
Quiet, 324 ft private lake Michigan beach, no neighbors for 200 ft one directions, over 400 ft other direction, , Our 2 bedroom home has queen size beds in both bedrooms also a half bath in one and full master bath in the other.(maybe bedroom 3)is a loft with 2 twin beds . House has a main full bath for everyone. Above the garage is a bonus game/bedroom with a half bath, also has a full size sofa sleeper couch and a full size futon,and ping pong table. Basically sleeping arrangements for 6 2 full baths and 2 half baths.

Right off the deck is the lawn and a children's activity center , there's a play area on the beach away from the lake, at the lake is the beach and perfect shallow water for several feet . The Cabana sits just feet from the lake perfect place to sit and read or just relax and listen to the waves gently lapping on the beach , or the roar of the waves and whitecaps , either is music to your ears . Cook up the food and eat at the picnic tables on the deck attached to Cabana .

There's many things to do in and around Manistique which makes Manistique a perfect location to stay for the ,many sightseeing locations within driving distance, some are
Pictured Rocks, Tahquamenon Falls,waterfalls, wildlife sanctuaries. Obviously fall is good time if you love to watch the fall colors and if you love the snow there's trails close by for snowmobiling and skiing.

If you want there's kayaks and bicycles provided for your entertainment ,along with boogie boards ,horseshoes yard darts , volley ball and ping pong , there's stacks of board games , and good books ,over 350 dvd's and and tvs and dvd players in all rooms.

The only thing you need to bring is food, beverages, tooth paste, toothbrush and a comb.
Everything else is provided ie.,, dish soap , dishwasher soap, laundry soap, fabric softener sheets, hand soap, body wash, shampoo, conditioner, paper products, pretty much like you'd have at home .

The most beautiful spot on the lake! Great property, besides a long stretch of nearly deserted beach, there is a huge yard, big deck, and it is all very secluded. The owner was so helpful, he provides kayaks and bikes and everything one needs for a great vacation. thank you, Non!

Little Pebbles

Great week at an amazing beach house! This destination had it all rain or shine. We loved the beach walks, kayaking and swimming during the day and bonfires at night. When it rained we loved the ping-pong challenges, board games and movies! The area is beautiful with so many possible day-trip destinations. This is our 2nd trip to Michibay and will definitely be back!

2025 UP Family Vaca

The house and property was just as pictured. Very well equipped inside and out. Our hosts Bob & Barbara were very easy to communicate with. Weather was great and we did a couple day trips. One up to the Pictured Rocks National Seashore to Kayak and another one to Mackinac Island rode around the perimeter on bikes, beautiful scenery. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway!

This property has a million dollar setting. Right on a beautiful, PRIVATE Lake Michigan beachfront. No stairs to the beach and only a short walk to get to it. Property was well apportioned. It has everything you need, and I do mean EVERYTHING. Extra points given for aluminum foil, plastic wrap, baggies, rubbermaid containers for leftovers! Great stay ; great communication from owner. Would give more than 5 stars if I could!

Little peace of heaven

Nothing but good things to say about our trip while staying at this beautiful home at the perfect location on the beach. Everything was perfect. The weather was awesome. We got to kayak on a day where the water was really calm. Sat out on the beach and the cabana and had bonfires at night. Would highly recommend this home to anyone who is looking for lots of fun and relaxation.

Don't Pass this one UP! Beautiful House stocked full of ammenties right on Lake Michigan!

Absolutely wonderful stay! Property Owner was responsive and helpful. House was amazing as was the location. Loved waking up to the sound of water hitting the beach! All of the extras the owner has in the house from DVDS to Kayaks were greatly appreciated and added to the trip! My family of four all loved the house and would definitely visit again!!! Would highly recommend to anyone!!!

Peaceful week, prefect to get ready for the new school year !

Very private lakefront. 1 hour from Painted rock where we had amazing hikes seeing waterfalls, rocks, dunes and Lake Superior. The house was perfect. A few visitors : a baby red squirrel (He ate the raspberries - not us:)), a fox at sunset, a cormorant on the beach, Hummingbirds, many monarch butterflies. Very happy memories !

Beautiful home with private beach

We had a wonderful vacation at this beautiful home! Many thanks to Bob and Barbara for the excellent communication with checking in and getting to the property. They go above and beyond with extras in the house compared to anywhere we have ever stayed at including a bag of snacks, chocolate truffles, and even a bottle of sparkling wine. The bathrooms had extra amenities on hand if needed- including shampoo, body wash, toothbrushes and toothpaste. The house was extremely clean with tons of games, movies and lake items. The beach was awesome and very private with a neat point to the east that was fun to walk to. We will definitely rent again when we come back to this area!

A true hidden gem.

This property and its owners are fabulous. The owners, Bob and Barbara have thought of every detail to make your stay easy, relaxing and enjoyable. From the check in instructions to amenities and check out list, it was a flawless process. As far as the property goes, all I can do is say the pictures do not do it justice. It is the most quiet, peaceful and truly stunning cabin/location we have ever stayed at. And flawlessly clean! If I could give it 10 stars I would. We hope to be back again next year. Wonderful Stay

Our family had the most relaxing and enjoyable stay at this beach home. The house consists of everything you want in a vacation rental; clean, private, beautiful views, steps from the beach with access to anything you could possibly need during your stay. We spent our time hanging out at the beach, riding bikes, eating smores at the fire pit, and just enjoying the sounds of the waves. Downtown was a quick drive and offered some cute shops and restaurants, a boardwalk, and a large grocery store. We also checked out some of state parks not far from the house. Bob was super easy to communicate with and I appreciate his recommendations for things to do in the area. You could tell he wanted his guests to have a great time and we absolutely did. Thanks!

Amazing location

This vacation rental was even better than we had hoped for! Amazing sandy beach as far as you can see, great access to the lake. Home is very nice with everything you need to settle in. Great view of the water! We stayed there for our week only venturing into town for groceries and some shopping. Part of our family made a trip to Mackinaw for the day. We swam and played in the water daily because the weather was so great. Got to see a big storm come in across the lake one night Did some bike riding. Overall did exactly what we came to do...unplug, relax and enjoy the sights and sounds of beautiful Lake Michigan. The host was very easy to communicate with. Our pups certainly enjoyed the trip as much as the humans. 95% of the time we were the only ones on the beach! Thank you for sharing this amazing destination!

Lake heaven!

We absolutely found this rental to be the best experience of all those we've rented through VRBO. The house is absolutely perfect for families. The amenities provided by the owner is way above and beyond the normal, from recreational items (kayaks, bikes, games for example) to personal use items (soaps, shampoos, paper supplies, coffee, S&P, dish soap, laundry supplies, even mustard, mayo & ketchup). The kitchen is updated & adequately supplied; gas grill available. Linens, towells, even beach towels provided. No A.C., but fans were in all rooms. Cell service sketchy and no internet (but that's exactly what we wanted!). The beach cabana, deck and outdoor seating ample and situated perfectly. Arrived to find popsicles in the freezer! The owners were great to work with & provided lots of local information; checked in during our stay too. The location is central to numerous attractions in the U.P., we definitely would recommend this rental!!

Spectacular setting!!

This was our favorite rental by far. The communication with the owners Bob and Barbara was excellent - Bob answered many questions before we arrived and gave great advice before and during our stay. We were welcomed with treats including champagne and fudge such a nice touch. The property is stunning - the beach pristine and private even bigger than the pictures show. We took long beach walks daily and discovered beautiful dunes to the east. The property came with plenty of outdoor chairs, tables, fire pit, cabana, bikes and kayaks. We enjoyed them all! Inside was everything you could need from pantry items to paper products, games and DVDs. The local grocery store Jacks was great and thanks to Bobs advice - this was where we bought our pasties and stocked up on extras to take home - much cheaper and tastier than most others we have ever tried. We only made one side trip while there to The Big Spring Kitch-iti-kipi which was so beautiful. We got there right when the park opened which is the best time as we were able to enjoy it almost by ourselves and without feeling crowded or rushed. We will definitely rent this place again I doubt you will find anything better!

A little slice of heaven

I booked this rental for my family for a relaxing summer vacation. The entire booking process was straightforward and easy to complete. Bob, the owner was quick to answer any questions and kept in communication with me to make sure there were no questions prior to our check in date. Upon arrival, he was quick to check in to make sure everything was good and gave some suggestions for places to eat. Top notch communication, which I really appreciated! The house itself is a "little slice of heaven". It honestly was as if we came to visit family at their beach house. The extra effort that Bob and Barbara do to make sure you feel welcomed were wonderful and touching. The kitchen is fully stocked with the necessary items to cook whatever you need but they also thought to include napkins, paper plates, condiments etc. Bathrooms are stocked with soap, shampoo and conditioner. There are even extra toothbrushes and a blow dryer in case you forgot yours! Products to do laundry were provided as well. There are so many games, movies, beach toys that the kids never got bored and I appreciated that we didn't need to bring that extra stuff. The house is immaculate and we really felt welcomed the second we pulled in the driveway. The house is completely private and we never saw or heard any neighbors the entire week. We swam in the water all day, played games at night and fell asleep listening to the waves lap at the shoreline. This vacation brought back so many memories of childhood and I wish we could have stayed two weeks instead of one. You will not be disappointed in this rental. It was a week of time with family and relaxation we so desperately needed. Thanks so much Bob and Barbara!

Excellent place to unwind

This was my first time staying at a vrbo house, and this place is amazing! Gorgeous house in an excellent neighborhood, on a quiet road where I saw more of the local fox than I did of neighbors. And the host was incredible too, always kind enough to respond to my msgs about recycling etc. It was my first trip to the UP and this was a great location to use as a base to explore the coast by Marquette, Hiawatha Forest, etc. My Golden Retriever Cooper went swimming for the first time and now he’s obsessed with waves and biting the whitecaps. Many thanks to the hosts for letting us enjoy this beautiful property.

After over 42 years in a steel mill and snowmobiling in UP for over 25 yrs ,we decided to purchase a home , In 2015 after looking on and off at homes , we found the most perfect one , this is why we want to share our home with you.

Why they chose this property

In September 2015 we purchased this home
In 2020 we split the purchase of 100' lot west side of our property with our neighbor to the west
In 2021 we purchased 100' lot our east side for total of 324 ft private space and private beach
We chose this home because of its location , with a bay like setting , plus the beach location is almost like being on a dead end "beach". We liked the fact there's only a few steps from the house to the lawn and beach , and an easy 120 ft walk to the 324 ft of our private beach, having a lawn is also a nice touch. We like the Cabana at the beach , just sit there relax and watch the water. We liked this home because just walking in the door you feel like you're home, and you will too, beautiful floor to ceiling windows with a million dollar view of lake Michigan the 2 huge sliding doors open up to the large decks with views views views . Another deciding factor was the fact its just on the outskirts of Manistique close enough but far enough away.

Protected in a bay or cove like location, minimal steps NO stairs almost level ground from the beach to the house .Woods on both sides no neighbors for almost 500 ft on one side 200 ft on the other side ,private and secluded setting .Most houses on michibay have No lawn ,and either steps or dunes to get to the beach ,some have wetlands between the house and the beach .This home has the most perfect setting a lawn and a beach , no wetlands all beach after the lawn
