The Overlook is a three-level Smoky Mountain cabin inside Black Bear Ridge Resort, just 5 minutes from the Pigeon Forge Parkway, designed from the ground up for exactly this kind of trip. 🏔️ THE EXPERIENCE
Picture your first morning: coffee from the cabin's complimentary coffee bar — dark roast, assorted teas, hot chocolate — carried out to the deck where the Smoky Mountain ridgelines are just starting to catch the light. The kind of sunrise that makes everyone go quiet for a minute.
The kids are already upstairs in the loft hideaway, disappearing into their own little world — a tucked-away play nook with a canvas teepee strung with fairy lights, a pretend s'mores campfire, wood slice seats, and cabin-themed building toys. They will not want to come down.
The teenagers have claimed the lower level game room — air hockey, foosball, 75" Smart TV. You won't see them until dinner.
And when the sun goes down, everyone ends up exactly where they should be: soaking in the covered hot tub on the lower deck, surrounded by trees and mountain air, nobody looking at their phone.

🏡 THE SPACE — THREE LEVELS, EVERYONE HAS ROOM
The Overlook is a spacious, multi-level cabin with private decks on every floor and mountain views throughout. Groups travel comfortably here because the layout gives everyone privacy when they want it and brings them together when they don't.
Main Level
The heart of the cabin. An open-concept great room with soaring ceilings, a stone fireplace, and a 65" Smart TV anchors the space. The fully equipped kitchen and dining area comfortably seat the whole group, and the complimentary coffee bar is stocked with coffee, tea, and hot chocolate at no extra charge. Step outside to the private deck with a swing, gas grill, outdoor picnic table, and mountain views — perfect for morning coffee or an evening meal off the grill. The main level king bedroom features a private en-suite bath and its own 50" Smart TV.
Upper Level
The upper level loft bedroom features a king bed plus twin trundles, making it ideal for families with younger kids. Tucked above is the kids' secret loft hideaway — a cozy, low-ceiling play nook with a canvas teepee, fairy lights, pretend campfire, and woodland-themed toys. Little ones absolutely love it. The upper level also has a private en-suite bath with a whirlpool tub — a quiet retreat for parents after the kids are finally asleep — and its own private deck with rocking chairs and mountain views.
Lower Level
The game room level. Air hockey, foosball, a 75" Smart TV, and an entertainment center with built-in dog crates for your four-legged family members. The bunk room features queen-over-queen beds, making it perfect for teens, older kids, or extra adults. Direct access from this level leads to the covered hot tub deck — our guests' favorite spot, day or night. Private en-suite bath on this level as well.

🌿 OUTDOOR LIVING
Three private decks — one on every level — each with beautiful Smoky Mountain views. Whether you're sipping coffee at sunrise, grilling dinner, rocking in the afternoon quiet, or soaking in the hot tub under the stars, there's always an outdoor space calling your name. The covered hot tub deck means year-round soaking, rain or shine — and some guests tell us the foggy mountain mornings from the deck are the best part of the whole trip.
During warmer months, guests also enjoy access to the seasonal outdoor community pool at Black Bear Ridge Resort. Pool passes are required — we'll make sure you have everything you need before arrival.
