Cozy A-Frame in the mountains

Welcome to the Cozy A-Frame, a comfortable and family-friendly mountain cabin tucked among the pines in Pioneer, California. This classic A-frame offers a quiet forest setting with plenty of space to relax, unplug, and enjoy the Sierra foothills.

Sleeping Arrangements

The home comfortably sleeps up to 9 guests:
Upstairs loft / primary bedroom-
• Two queen beds- similar to a hotel room.
• Includes a crib and baby changing table
• Great for families or groups traveling together
Downstairs Bedroom 1-
• One queen bed
Downstairs Bedroom 2-
• Twin-over-twin bunk bed
• Desk space for work or school
Living Area-
• Large sleeper sectional sofa with a full-size memory foam pullout bed.

Living Space

The open living area features vaulted A-frame ceilings, large windows, and a cozy wood-burning stove, which is the primary heat source for the home. Firewood is provided at no cost and stored in a rack outside. Guests should expect to carry wood inside and tend the stove during their stay. Step-by-step instructions are provided to make starting and maintaining a fire simple and safe.

Kitchen & Dining

The kitchen is fully equipped with cookware, dishes, and a coffee maker, making it easy to prepare meals during your stay. The dining area offers space for shared meals, games, or working remotely.

Outdoor Space

Enjoy the peaceful forest surroundings from the deck and outdoor seating areas. The quiet setting and tall pines make it easy to slow down and enjoy nature.

Weather & Seasonal Notes

This is a mountain location, and snow is common in winter months. Weather can change quickly, so guests should check the forecast before arriving and plan accordingly. During snowy periods, winter driving conditions are possible. Luckily, they plow the roads all the way up to our driveway every hour or so.
