The space This two-level mountain cabin is designed for comfortable stays and easy mountain living, with a layout that works well for families and small groups.
FIRST FLOOR Two bedrooms are located on the first floor, one with a queen bed and one with a king bed, along with a full bathroom. The bedroom with the king bed also includes a desk, making it a good option for remote work or quiet reading. These rooms are simple, clean, and designed for restful sleep.
SECOND FLOOR The second floor features the main living spaces, including an open living area, kitchen, dining space, loft, and the third bedroom. This bedroom includes one king bed and two twin beds and also has a desk. This level is ideal for gathering, relaxing, and enjoying time indoors.
LOFT The loft includes a large TV and a futon, making it a great bonus space for movies or relaxing. Bedding for the futon is available upon request. The telescope is also located on this level and is available for nighttime stargazing during clear conditions.
KITCHEN AND LIVING The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking and dining at home, and the living area offers a comfortable place to unwind after a day outdoors.
OUTDOOR FEATURES Guests have access to a private hot tub, BBQ, and outdoor areas surrounding the cabin, weather permitting.
AMENITIES An EV charger, washer and dryer, Wi Fi, and smart home features are included. Guest access Guests have access to the entire cabin and the outdoor areas immediately surrounding the home.
HOT TUB AND BBQ Guests may use the private hot tub and BBQ, weather permitting. Please follow the house rules provided for safe use.
INTERIOR SPACES All indoor living areas of the cabin are available for guest use.
TELESCOPE Guests are welcome to use the telescope for nighttime stargazing during clear conditions. Please follow the telescope rules provided in the home to ensure safe and proper use.
NATIONAL FOREST The back of the cabin faces the National Forest. There are no marked or maintained paths in this area, and the terrain can be steep, uneven, and challenging. You don't need to explore the forest directly behind the cabin unless you have the proper equipment, experience, and navigation skills.
Guests are welcome to explore the PlaVada community or visit areas near the river during the summer months, where trails are visible and commonly used, and provide a safer option for walking and enjoying the outdoors.
During winter, there are nearby safe, gentle slopes suitable for children to sled. Sleds are provided for guest use, and you are also welcome to bring your own.
This is a mountain environment. Please use caution and enjoy responsibly.
TOY GARAGE The garage in the back of the house is a toy garage and is not intended for regular use. Access can be difficult during winter conditions. Guests may access the garage only to retrieve children's sleds or dry wood.
Other things to note
WINTER TRAVEL
PlaVada community rules require that vehicles be adequately equipped for winter conditions. From December through March, vehicles must have chains or be 4W drive with snow-rated tires.
If a vehicle becomes stuck, blocks the road, or requires assistance because these requirements were not met, PlaVada may charge a fee for towing or removal. Any fines or costs incurred due to non-compliance with these requirements will be the responsibility of the guest.
REMOTE LOCATION The cabin is located in a quiet, remote mountain community. There are no full grocery stores nearby, so please plan to drive at least 20 minutes for a full-service grocery store and shop in advance.
BEAR COUNTRY This is bear country. All trash must be taken to the bear-proof dumpsters located at the entrance of the PlaVada community. Please don't leave trash outside the cabin at any time.
MOUNTAIN SETTING Guests should be comfortable with an actual mountain environment, including snow, wildlife, limited services, and variable road conditions.
