Have been making this trip for twenty years. Stayed in as many rentals. This place was the best. Price, location, home layout, and host communication was all superb. Hope to rent this next year if available . Congrats to owner.
Overall, everything was excellent. I loved the open floor plan, the kitchen is gorgeous and there was plenty of space. The stove and microwave needed cleaning but it didn't take away from the experience. Thank you
I wanted to visit Niagara Falls and a Relative in a close by city, we chose Spencerport , house is spacious, clean and in a pleasant neighborhood. We enjoyed our trip and would book again!!
We really enjoyed our stay here over the Christmas holiday. We were epecially thankful for the wood burning stove which helped when the power went out and the temps outside were -10 degrees! Our dog enjoyed the fenced-in yard. We loved how big the kitchen was and how it flowed into the sunken living room. Also, having a garage to park in during the storm was wonderful. I would stay here again!
My family and I were here celebrating my daughter’s college graduation. The house had everything you needed and more. We had a small issue when we first arrived but it was quickly addressed. The only recommendation I would say is to replace the 2 smaller bedrooms, beds as they were not comfortable beds. The master bedroom did however have a comfy bed. The home was great and I would highly recommend it! We really enjoyed this home and would absolutely stay here again 😊
We rented the house to host family for Easter Weekend. While we live around the corner and didn't spend too much time at the house, it was really nice to have extra bedrooms and bathrooms to keep everyone comfortable-we had a full house!
Thank you!
Kris was a good host. We had something in the home that wasn’t working and he made an effort to have it repaired before we left and was very reasonable in his dealings with us.
This property was great for my 3 week stay. The house was nice and comfortable and the neighborhood was quiet. The hosts responded promptly to my messages and kindly accommodated my delayed departure.
The basement, where the laundry is, has been painted and had a dehumidifier running which was great.
I did need to buy a few things I wanted in the kitchen.
My only disappointment was that the fenced yard was too muddy to let my dog loose. I'm sure it's lovely later in the year but it's very wet in spring.
All in all, it was a great stay for me and my dog.
The house needs some exterior clean up. The garage was a mess and the hot tub was broken and unusable. One of the burners on the stove did not work. The master bathroom shower head sprayed water everywhere. The hall bathroom shower head did not work properly either. With that being said, the overall impression of the house was decent.
Renters beware. Do not GO IN HOT TUB. 3 ladies all have hot tub follititis that is from bacteria from unclean Hot tub. Besides that this is not a high end house at all. Holes in floor. We kept tripping in holes in the floor master bedroom. Closet doors falling off track. Musty smell when u first walk in. Drains plugged in both showers. Microwave burned hard to.use. lots of dust bunnies and dirt under beds. BLINDS do not fit windows. Front of house is let's NOT HIGH END ! Bees in house when we walked in. We had to remind owner to send code to let us in? ? HIGH END HOUSE NO WAY!!
This was our first stay at VRBO rental. The house was amazing. Very clean and equipped with everything we needed for our stay. Was even able to home cooked meals for our son we were visiting. We enjoyed nights in the hot tub after busy days. We will definitely try to book again.
The home was in the perfect location for us. The outside of the home needs some TLC.(grass cutting etc..)
Short drive to Spencerport.
Had a couple of questions while staying there and Kristopher responded promptly.
I would stay there again.
We were very happy here. The kitchen, living room and dining areas were spacious and open which made spending time together as a group both easy and fun. Our kids enjoyed the fenced in yard and we all enjoyed the new hot tub. We saw deer grazing behind the property at times which was lovely. Kris was great at communicating and tending to our needs. We would definitely stay here again.
CONS:
Upon arriving, we were greeted immediately, but by bees. They were living behind the wood siding, going in and out from a missing piece of siding/trim next to front door. I called owner and he came by to spray them. He told me to do it at night again. We did that, but the next day our unwanted guests were still there. I called the owner again, but no response to my voicemail, so my husband stuffed a rag into the area of missing siding. That worked, bees could not get behind the siding. None of the outside lights worked, so it was very dark when we came back to the house at night. We had to use cell phone light to key in the front code. The basement was humid and smelled damp. I suspect mold, because I am allergic to it and I was getting symptomatic. One of the kitchen pendant lights was missing and as previously noted, the microwave pad was damaged. We used the spa test strips to test the hot tub and there was no chlorine in it. The only chlorine available was for pools and the directions did not include spas, so we did not use it. I have a hot tub at home and I only use approved chemicals for spas, not pools. The directions in the house introduction book said hot tub is checked regularly and not to adjust chemicals. Hot tubs need chlorine added after every use. Kitchen pots were beat up and we purchased dishwasher soap as there was none. Outside grill was dirty and it did not work properly.
PROS: Beds were comfy. Good location with plenty of parking and big back yard. The good size kitchen was stocked with most essentials like coffee makers, utensils, dishes etc. Plenty of linens and towels. Plenty of room for 4 adults.
AREA Tips: We were able to stop by many farm stands and get local fresh produce. The ice cream shop in Spencerport was excellent.
Your listing was suprisingly big. The pictures don't do it justice, the bees I told you about were worry some but i assume you will take care of that. We didn't use the garage but when i locked the house i would walk out the side garage door to lock the house up. the garage smelled putrid. I very much enjoyed our stay here.
The upstairs was nice, the house needed some repairs, (bathtub took all day to drain, shower head in the master bedroom needed repairs, cushions in the living room need to be replaced, when you left the cushion, the stuffing would fall out, microwave worked, but the front panel needed repair, a few other minor repairs and replacements were needed. The last tenants must not have put out the trash cans, they were full when we got to the house, but the upstairs area of the unit was livable and nice. Beautiful yard and well-kept front yard very nice, Neiborhood very quiet/peaceful. Close to shopping. The downstairs basement had some issues, it had., what it looked like, mold on the walls, it smelled, it looked like there may have been a flood, they had fans going, but the order of the mold went upstairs, we had to constantly spray the house with air Fershner. We assumed the owners new of this, since they had fans going full blast in the basement.
