This place truly lives up to its name — Cozy Cabin is warm, inviting, and thoughtfully put together. From the moment you walk in, you can tell a lot of care went into decorating and setting up each room. The cabin is very well decorated with charming touches throughout, making it feel comfortable and homey without being cluttered. The amenities are excellent. If you think of something you might need, it’s probably already there. The kitchen is fully stocked with plenty of pots, pans, dishes, and everything needed to cook meals. The main living area has very comfy couches and chairs, and the fireplace was a highlight — it was wonderful to have a warm fire going at night while relaxing. Right up the stairs is a huge recreation area which is perfect if the kids want to play games, enjoy time with siblings, etc.The upstairs master bedroom is huge and absolutely beautiful. The king-sized bed is very comfortable, and the four large windows overlooking the valley and surrounding trees offer amazing views, especially in the morning. The location is ideal — tucked among the pines and quaking aspens, peaceful and quiet, yet just off the main road for easy access. The outdoor fire pit is a great bonus and perfect for enjoying the backcountry atmosphere without distractions.Reliable Wi-Fi and easy media streaming made evenings even more enjoyable. Overall, this is a fantastic, cozy mountain retreat and a place we would absolutely stay at again. Highly recommended.

Secluded and cozy are JUST the right word to describe this dream of a VRBO!!! Holy smokes! Amy has stocked this cabin - to the brim - with so much goodies to make your stay be welcome and home-feeling!!! I mean, she's thought of everything!!! There is a chest full of snow clothes for you to borrow - adults and kids! And her cupboards were stocked with nourishing, yummy things - bone broth and doTERRA electrolyte drinks!! And there is SO much space for people sleeping, each a cozy, cutely decorated room!! I mean, there were only 3 of us there for the stay, but this space is PERFECT to gather a huge family!!! Upstairs has a cozy play room with games, toys, books, TV and an old Ninetendo!!! I mean, come on?! SO nostalgic, right?! And then downstairs' communal space is the cozy front room, Christmas tree included with a BEAUTIFUL view of the amazing outside! Okay, and OUTSIDE?! You are literally up the road or in the Wasatch Mountain State Park and there is no cell service up there which is amazing (don't worry, connect to wifi and you'll be just fine!) and it is sooooooooo quiet. AND THEN I found SLIDES - yes plural - SLIDES that you can use to go sledding! I mean Amy and Richard set it up so all you have to do is bring yourself and some meals and the rest has been thought of for you!! :D And make sure to have night out under the stars around their outdoor fireplace!!!! SO grateful to have experienced this WONDERFUL STAY!!! 3 3 3

Amy grew up all over the world as an Army brat, and Richard grew up in Taylorsville Utah. They met performing together in the biblical musical production, Savior of the World, and love singing and performing together. They have 5 amazing kids and have loved traveling the world. They are grateful to share their special mountain getaway with you and your family.

Why they chose this property

We chose this location for the incredible serenity and peace of getting away in the forest of the mountains. Be sure to check out the starts at night-stunning! It's easy to access, feels remote, but is within minutes of so many fun outdoor adventure activities, as well as the best restaurants and shops. We highly recommend the restaurant at The Blue Boar Inn, especially for breakfast and dinner. We also love the cafe at The Dainty Pear, The Harvest restaurant, Ballerina Farms and Midway Bakeries, and Cafe Galleria. We love the wood-fired pizza at The Pizza Yard too. So many close and delicious options!!

What makes this property unique

Each room has it's own theme and personality, and was thoughtfully designed to create a beautiful cabin experience. You really can't beat the surroundings of being right in the forest. You are a 6 minute drive from town, but feel like you are nestled far away in your own little mountain cabin.
