I have often wondered if reviews can be relied upon, especially when there are only a few comments on record. In this situation, I can ensure all travelers that the Buxton property is not merely a solid rental, it is an inviting and comfortable home to be enjoyed however long your stay. We were traveling to Cape Town for a week's stay with our family including 16 year old grandson. Plenty of room for everyone to have personal space and still enjoy family time together at the table, outside or in the living area. Our host deserves 6 stars. Her attentive team---5 1/2 stars. Service was impeccable, home was clean, comfortable and inviting from the moment you arrive at the entrance gate. Garage is made available to guests (be careful of cars that are extra long!). We didn't get to enjoy the outside for very long as it is winter currently and it was a bit chilly. But what a lovely area---you will love it! If you want to cook some or all of your meals, the kitchen will not disappoint. If we return to Cape Town, we will definitely return to Buxton.

Our family had a wonderful two-night stay at Buxton House, and we only wish we could have stayed longer! From the moment we booked, our host was absolutely amazing. She was warm, welcoming, and incredibly easy to communicate with throughout our stay, making everything seamless from check-in to departure. The house itself is stunning—beautifully maintained, spotless, and thoughtfully equipped with everything we needed. The kitchen was fully stocked, the bedrooms were spacious and comfortable, and there were plenty of cozy spaces to relax both inside and out. We especially enjoyed spending time on the patio overlooking the peaceful garden, which was the perfect place to unwind after exploring Cape Town. One of the highlights of the property is the incredible views of Table Mountain and Lion's Head. Waking up to those views each morning was truly special and made our stay even more memorable. The location couldn't have been better. We felt safe and comfortable, with easy access to everything Cape Town has to offer. Table Mountain is just minutes away, and there are plenty of shops, restaurants, pubs, and attractions nearby. We used Uber throughout our stay, and rides were quick, convenient, and inexpensive. Parking was also a breeze thanks to the secure garage. Buxton House truly felt like a home away from home, and it was the perfect base for our family to experience Cape Town.
