Caribbean Breeze is a four-bedroom, three-bath home with a full wraparound porch and is located in the quiet Surfside Shores neighborhood of Fort Morgan. Overlooking a private lagoon, Caribbean Breeze exudes island charm with a hint of Southern flair. The home sits on a large private lot featuring a grove of scrub oak trees, tall Southern pine trees, palm trees, and other native vegetation. Caribbean Breeze was custom-built as a full-time residence in the early 1980s and has been well loved ever since.

Caribbean Breeze is an ideal vacation spot for larger families or couples traveling together, as its lofted ceilings with custom wooden detailing and expansive wraparound porch keep this home feeling airy and spacious.

The master bedroom features a king bed, nightstand with bedside lamp, closet, chest of drawers, and 45-inch television outfitted with a Roku streaming box and complimentary YouTube TV access. The ensuite bathroom has a pedestal sink, toilet, and tiled shower. A large, mirrored cabinet, small built-in closet with doors, and inset wall shelf provide storage for personal items. Beach towels (provided for guests' use) are located in the bathroom closet.

The other three bedrooms are located across the central hallway from the master bedroom. Bedroom #2 is directly across the central hallway from the master bedroom and is a queen bedroom with large nightstand, bedside lamp, and lots of natural light from the oversized windows. A dresser is provided in the closet and also serves as a media stand for the 40-inch smart television equipped with complimentary YouTube TV access. The closet has shelving for additional storage.

Bedroom #3 is between Bedroom #2 and #4 and features a full bed with custom-built, ladder-accessed twin loft with built-in shelving for personal items. (PLEASE NOTE: The loft is recommended for older children, teenagers, and adults only.) In addition to the loft and full bed, this bedroom features a large wall-mounted 55-inch smart television with complimentary YouTube TV, a nightstand with bedside lamp, and closet with shelving and storage cabinet. The beautiful artwork in this room was painted by one of the home's original owners.

Bedroom #4 has a queen bed with nightstand, bedside lamp, and large wall-mounted 42-inch smart television with complimentary YouTube TV access. There is a large table with storage for personal items, with additional storage in the closet.

Across the hall from Bedroom #4 is the guest bathroom, which features a tub/shower combo, toilet, and sink with vanity. Similar to the master ensuite bathroom, the mirrored cabinet provides additional space for personal items.

Also located along the central hallway, between the master bedroom and guest bathroom, is the laundry closet, tucked behind a set of bi-fold doors. The laundry closet houses a washer and dryer available for guest use, in addition to an iron and ironing board.

Caribbean Breeze's common area features an open-concept space with kitchen, dining nook, and den. The den's large 65-inch smart television, equipped with complimentary YouTube TV access, is perfect for enjoying a movie together or keeping tabs on your favorite sports team while on vacation.

Preparing meals here is a breeze, as the kitchen is equipped with plenty of pots and pans, utensils, small appliances, major appliances, baking pans, and more. Caribbean Breeze can seat up to six people at the dining table; the convenient kitchen island has a bar area with seating for two. The additional outdoor table seats four.

Caribbean Breeze's exterior spaces make it easy to enjoy outdoor life in Surfside Shores. The wrap-around porch gives the home plenty of Southern charm, including the stunning blue porch ceiling. (Traditionally, homes in the Deep South have painted their porch ceilings blue--supposedly to deter both bugs and "haints" from hanging around!) The porch can be accessed from every side of Caribbean Breeze, including the front door to the east, sliding glass doors on the southern and western side of the den, and a back door on the northern side of the home. Plenty of outdoor furniture means that everyone can find a spot to relax. In the morning, cozy up on the cushioned loungers and enjoy that first cup of coffee with sunshine streaming between the scrub oaks, while the kids eat breakfast outside at the table. In the afternoon, relax on the north porch and watch the local wildlife--a group of turtles have been known to hang out right beneath the house! Kids love the hammock overlooking the lagoon. In the evening, switch on the string of Edison bulbs on the screened-in porch and make it an intimate place to enjoy the Southern night air.

While Caribbean Breeze has multiple hose spigots for rinsing off and a traditional outdoor shower head, those seeking a true island experience can check out the home's unique third bathroom. This open-air bathroom is located underneath the home and features a toilet, sink with mirror, and hot/cold shower complete with shower pan and drain. Built-in hooks and shelving keep personal items organized and let you shower like a local!

As the home is just a short walk to the neighborhood's private beach access, Caribbean Breeze is an ideal home base to indulge in a beach vacation.

For each rental reservation, a starter pack of supplies is provided, including: one roll of toilet paper per bathroom, one travel-size bottle of dishwashing liquid, two dishwasher pods, two laundry detergent pods, one roll of paper towels, one trash bag per trash can, and a sponge. One bottle of hand soap is available in each bathroom.

Beach towels are provided for guest use and are the blue-and-white towels stored in the master bath linen closet. We do not provide beach chairs or other beach equipment.

Guests must be 25 years of age to rent Caribbean Breeze.

Guest access
Guests will have access to the entire home, with the exception of a locked supply cabinet in one of the master bedroom closets and a locked storage room beneath the home.

Repeat renter discounts are available for past guests who have previously stayed at Caribbean Breeze. Please send an inquiry for more details. Off-season snowbirds are also welcome.

Considering the coastal location, we strongly encourage guests to purchase travel insurance. Travel insurance is an economical way to protect your vacation investment in the event unforeseen circumstances occur such as sudden illness, injury, or natural disasters (such as a hurricane). VRBO offers travel insurance during booking; there are also numerous third-party travel insurance providers.

When vacationing along the Gulf Coast, please be mindful of the dangers posed by rip tides and rough surf conditions. Rip tide conditions are extremely dangerous and not to be taken lightly. Multiple drownings and near-drownings occur every year. Surf conditions are monitored and communicated daily to the public through a flag system. You may sign up for a daily text detailing current flags and surf conditions by texting "ALBEACHES" to 888777. You may also call 251-968-SURF (7873). Please be aware then when double red flags are posted, the waters are CLOSED to the public and it is illegal to enter the Gulf.

Furthermore, Surfside Shores is located near a wildlife refuge and is home to a wide variety of wild animals, including alligators, poisonous snakes, spiders, and more. Please be cautious of your surroundings, especially when near areas with more vegetation, and always watch your step.
