Escape to our fairytale, on 100 secluded acres of gorgeous forest on Lake Wedowee/river (short walk to water down road). Soak in the hot tub, bake a pizza in the wood-fired oven, snuggle in nest swing or stroll the river road to swim or kayak. Hike to Wolf Creek and pan for gold. This gorgeous cabin is inspired by the 1840s rock chimneys-found in the forest—built with reclaimed heart of pine, stained glass & cedar from the woods. No tv—this is a place to unplug. No kids under the age

Was great to have such a beautiful place with so much privacy. The walk to the river especially in the morning was so refreshing. This was a great place to reconnect with yourself, my spouse and nature.
This little piece of peace was all that I needed for my getaway. The outdoor fire, hot tub and porch were so nice for drinking a cup of coffee or wine. The lounge chair was lovely for reading and journaling. The mattress was like sleeping in a cloud, and feeling among the stars when looking out through the skylight above the bed. I can’t recommend this place enough. Well done, Kara and thank you!
The Fairytale Cabin was a wonderful environment for my mindfulness and meditation retreat. I was able to unplug and reconnect with nature during my stay. There is so much to see and do on the property including hiking trails and various areas to explore. Kara's attention to detail and the way that she brought various elements together in and around the cabin is truly unique. This location in my mind is as suited to a solo mindfulness getaway as it is to a romantic weekend. The cabin was extremely clean and well-kept. The kitchen was well-stocked and had everything I needed. Using the pizza oven was a blast, and I highly recommend picking up some chopped ribeye steak and making a Philly cheesesteak on the flat top grill.I'd give you 10 stars if I could. Thanks Kara for a great stay!
Only wish we could have stayed longer! The area is so beautiful. The cabin is so unique and so beautiful. The stained glass windows and the fact that everything is reused or recycled is really cool. Morning coffee with the little birdies all around, the African guinea fowl saying good morning, the light coming through the stained glass window; it was truly a unique Refuge. And then you get to walk down the road to the river which was truly a magical spiritual space. Kara was so prompt with her responses to my questions during the stay. Not having a TV was a great experience to really immerse yourself in nature and have a good bonding experience with whomever you bring!! I am truly grateful!!! Thank you Kara O'Brien!!!!
