Property was easy to get comfortable in. We had a small issue with the freezer while we were there but the owners were extremely responsive and helpful. Our reunion of college friends enjoyed our time in this house.
Bachelor’s trip with 10 men and this house offered everything you could want/need. Highly recommend the golf cart rental for getting around. Wonderful stay.
The locator was a great proximity to the beach and the house was perfect fit our large group. Lance is one of the best hosts I’ve ever rented from and I travel monthly. Totally recommend this property. Loved having a pool all to ourselves and the dock was lots of fun.
This house is really beautiful and set in such an incredible neighborhood. Close enough to shopping, restaurants and the beach. The pool is lovely and our older kids loved the paddle boards! Great family time in a great house!!
Great Spring Break stay in a great location. Nice neighborhood.
The house has so much room for the 14 of us who stayed. Several cozy gathering rooms to spread out or hang out together. Loved the outside area where you could hang at the pool, on the dock, or take a kayak ride in the canal.
Communication with the owner was easy and they were very helpful with any questions.
Nine of us stayed at the French Castilla Beach House. We had more than enough space to spread out, and appreciated all of the bathrooms. The pool was just lovely! Our host, Lance, went above and beyond. He was responsive and generous. We all appreciated him. We’re looking forward to a return trip. Watch out, Lance, we’ll be back!
Enjoyed a beautiful February week in the Florida sunshine. House had plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms for our extended family. Pool was wonderful. Kids and adults enjoyed fishing from the dock and were treated to a surprise visit from a manatee. Management was very attentive and responsive to our needs.
My family of 10 stayed at this paradise property. We truly enjoyed the pool, the beach, and the family time together. My son is being deployed the beginning of next year and this trip was very special to us. Thank you to Lance and his brother for the accommodations, and the quick responses when we needed something. We will definitely be back in the future.
Large house with great pool area with easy access to the beach, restaurants, and the main channel. Walk to the beach is about 10 to 12 minutes away along Los Olas Avenue. House is also located just a mile east of the great restaurants on Los Olas. Easy access via car, walking, or the on-site rentable golf cart. Excellent host who met us on arrival. Lance is a great host who is easy to talk to and quick to meet any needs. We had a great time Lance!!
The he house was amazing and Lance was great to communicate with the entire time. We had 12 guests total and the house had more than enough room for all of us. It was very spacious and we spent the majority of our time in the pool or on the deck. The location is perfect, minutes from the beach and minutes from downtown. Couldn’t be a better location. It rained pretty heavy for a few hours but the house has a giant cover/tent in the back yard near the pool so we sat out there for a little and stayed completely dry. It was also great to sit under the covering to get some shade during the sunny days too!
This house is in a great location. We had 10 adults and 6 kids under 6. We had plenty of room. Big plus was every bedroom had it's own bathroom. Pool was great and we used the paddle boards and kayak often. Lance was always quick to respond when we needed something. The beach was only about a 10 minute walk (even with kids). About the only complaint was we couldn't get the ice machine in the fridge to work. It was a wonderful vacation!!
Let me start off by saying that Lance was a fantastic host. His communication was solid, did everything he said he would, etc. - all the good stuff you want in a host. If I had to describe this house in a nutshell, it is tired. It's beat up, lots of little things didn't work (ceiling fans, light bulbs, outlets), many cosmetic issues and just several things that make you say "why would you do that?". For example, one bedroom has white, opaque SHOWER CURTAINS as window treatments. In the same room, the ceiling fan didn't work and the bed was broken. Additionally, the couches in the living room are beat to death and the outdoor loungers have seen much better days. This is not a fault of theirs but it should be noted that the current view out the back yard is of a pile of rubble, as the house across the street was sold, torn down and a new home is being built. Again, not their fault, but construction noise did start at 7am on a Monday and continued all day for three days. Now to be fair, there were some positives: the location is great, the outdoor grill was brand new, all the appliances worked well and the place was SPARKLING CLEAN. I will not go as far as to say the photos are misleading, but they are certainly dated and do not show the house in its current condition.
Corner plot in a gorgeous neighborhood. Home really suited for bringing together large families - which worked for us since we had teens and 3 children under 7 all coming together - three families.
Check-in was really easy, and owner (Lance) communicated early and often prior to our arrival. Also chatted with him and his wife (Danielle) a few times during their morning walks through the area.
Some favorite things about the home:
1.) Good sized pool and plenty of loungers.
2.) Super family-sized dining table that could seat us all.
3.) Water toys to use in the canals - canoe/paddleboard.
Things that could have been better:
1.) A house was being built on the opposite side of the canal and so for a few hours per day there was a little noise as they banged in pylons. (I imagine that is all complete now.)

House is in disrepair
I’m sure the property was very nice at some point, but that point was likely 10+ years ago. The property has two things going for it… number of bedrooms and location.
That being said, my complaints are numerous:
1. The HVAC system is not capable of cooling the house to a comfortable temperature. All of the bedrooms were 80+ degrees at night.
2. Numerous doors were broken or missing doorknobs. One of the double doors leading out to the pool has a chain with padlock around the handles b/c that is the only way to keep them from swinging open.
3. The couch in the tv room is old, peeling, and broken.
4. The pool was dirty and cloudy. The pool bottom and plaster is peeled and cracked. It also appears the pool pump and equipment has not been serviced and did not appear to run once in the three days we were there.
5. The gate and fences around the yard are broken or breaking.
6. The swings on the back dock are broken and unstable and also appear to be carrying standing water in the canopy.
7. The pool furniture is very old, moldy, and in poor condition.
8. The backyard gazebo-style umbrellas is old and torn and poorly patched.
9. The putting green is not usable, as the pvc that serves as the holes extend out above the level of the green itself.
10. The ceiling in the kitchen is stained and dirty
11. Several of the beds appeared to be very old and uncomfortable
Overall, it was a negative experience. These are not minor things. This house need to be rehab. The pictures are deceptive.
Lance was the BEST. Was so responsive -- answered my questions before and during the stay IMMEDIATELY. The house is exactly as pictured, being so close to downtown Las Olas and the beach was amazing. The beds were surprisingly comfortable, there were instructions everywhere so I felt like everything was covered, and Lance was so accommodating and made sure everything was going well. He sent instructions before and during our stay for everything you could think about. I planned my sister's bachelorette party there with 15 girls (!!) and everyone had a great time. I would highly recommend and I hope to be back!
Can’t say enough great things about this listing and the owners. Incredible location close to the beach, beautiful house, and great communication with the owner before, during, and after our stay. The property was immaculate. We had 11 people stay comfortably for a long weekend and everyone had a blast. Make sure you rent the golf carts because they are a great way to get around town! Can’t wait to come visit again.

Not as expected
House was not as advertised. Couldn't use putting green outside, rats ran around the backyard, A/C didn't work well, refrigerator leaking all over the floor, ants inside the dishwasher
Hosts were responsive and assisted with some logistics challenges on our end which was appreciated.
House was perfect for our mini executive retreat that mixed business and pleasure. Location is spectacular.
Really cool property with plenty of space for our family of 7 adults and 4 children ages 3 and under. The two “wings” were perfect for creating quiet space for sleeping children while the adults were still up. Heated swimming pool was excellent with fence around for child protection. Location really nice for both the beach and Las Olas Blvd. Did have a few ants on property but not a problem for us. The property manager Leo and the owner were responsive and great to work with. Great vacation. Thanks.
We utilized the property to host a mastermind for my Amazon Private Label sellers community - The Seller Systems Inner Circle. We were able to divide into smaller groups and find plenty of room to work. After work the property had a pool table, grill, and pool as well as other amenities to entertain. The kayaks and paddle boards were a little difficult to launch and I didn’t reserve the golf cart in advance, but the host was a great communicator. Overall the property met our needs and my guests were happy.

My name is Lance and I manage multiple vacation properties in Fort Lauderdale with my wife, sister and her husband. We are all Georgia natives but have lived in South Florida for over 10 years. We have been super host on both major platforms since 2011. My wife and I have three children and we love to travel. Don’t forget to ask me how you can save up to an additional $1,000 off of your vacation.
Why they chose this property
Once you vacation at Ft Lauderdale Beach, you will understand 'why this is paradise.' And you will be staying at the most perfect location in the nation's most relaxing city. I rented homes for two years in this area waiting for this particular location to go up for sale. When it finally did, I bought it the first week on the market. You will love it also. This home was voted one of the top 12 vacation homes in Fort Lauderdale in 2021. https://wanderingwheatleys.com/best-airbnbs-fort-lauderdale-florida-vacation-rentals/ .
What makes this property unique
The close proximity to the beach make it easy to visit the beach for a couple of hours and come back for a nap or just spend the whole day. The corner lot gives us beautiful outdoor views on three sides of the home. The hedges on 3 sides provide extreme back yard and pool privacy. While eating breakfast on the upstairs bedroom balconies, we have great views of the canal and Seven Isles Lake. https://wanderingwheatleys.com/best-airbnbs-fort-lauderdale-florida-vacation-rentals/
