Overall nice place. You can tell it has been remodeled and everything was clean. There were some missing pieces along the way (ex. guest room TV not working, ice maker/water on fridge not working, no washclothes, confusion over allowing pets). One of the bigger issues we had was we were trying to rent the pontoon boat they offered however there was an issue with the boat that we didn't find out about until we got there. Had we had known sooner we could have made other arrangements but it put us in quite a bind because we only had one day with the weather to actually get out on the water. I know the owner wants to do right as in they sent washcloths and toilet paper etc during our stay, I just think it might take some time for them to get everything organized.

I would highly recommend a Host to consider this review before hosting this guest. Guest brought a dog despite indicating in the booking that no pet would be included. When informed of the required pet fee (clearly stated in the listing and prior communication), the guest became upset and did not complete payment. The pet left a significant amount of hair throughout the property, requiring additional cleaning for the next guest. In an effort to de-escalate the situation during the stay, I ultimately waived the fee, although it remained applicable per house rules. Communication throughout the stay was very high-maintenance, with frequent complaints and requests, including concerns about factors outside of host control such as weather conditions. Regarding the optional pontoon boat rental, we advised that advance notice is recommended due to weather dependency. The guest chose to wait until the last minute due to uncertainty about weather conditions. When we attempted to accommodate the request, a mechanical issue (GPS) arose, and at the same time, conditions included high winds and a small craft advisory. For safety and liability reasons, proceeding was not possible. Additionally, minor concerns (such as towels) were addressed promptly when brought to our attention, but the volume and nature of complaints made the stay difficult and stressful to manage. Overall, due to failure to follow house rules and the demanding nature of the stay, I would not host this guest again. We want to insure a great experience, fun environment, and a safe space for everyone to enjoy.
