Liked: Location, listing accuracy
The location was great and there is a nice lake view from the property. Overall it served our needs for the time we were there but there were some issues that we haven’t encountered at other short term rentals. There were no linens or towels so we paid for linen service, which was provided as an option. When we got there the sheets were shoved in a pillow case on top of the bed. Okay, not a big deal, we made the bed. It was cold when we got there, high 30s low 40s at night and it had been cold that week. The house was sooo cold and there is no fireplace and we could not find any electric heat. Apparently there was radiant heat and someone came later that night while we were out and turned it on which helped a lot. They then dropped off portable heaters the next day. We didn’t need them at that point but would probably have been good to have them on site given the temperatures that week. There were some other minor issues we reported to the property manager to be aware of before the next guests arrive. All in all the place is nice but the management of the rental, in terms of hospitality and in comparison to our other stays, could use some improvement.
