Modern holiday rental in a 17th-century historic estate.<br><br>Let yourself be enchanted by our newly restored, dreamlike family estate—with 400 years of history—located between 2017- 2019.<br>Located in the heart of town, just outside the monastery grounds, and built in 1624 as the former residence of the district judge, the house was awarded the Culture Prize by the municipality of Polling for its successful restoration and preservation of its historic character, combining history with state-of-the-art comfort.<br><br>On the ground floor of this lovingly restored property is our tastefully furnished holiday apartment, measuring approximately 135 m². The apartment accommodates up to 4 people and has direct access to the terrace and garden. Free public parking is available in front of the house.<br><br>The light-filled living room captivates with its many historic casement windows, which were meticulously restored to preserve the house’s historic character. The spacious sofa and the beautiful view of the surrounding garden provide the perfect setting for enjoying relaxing moments here in Polling. An additional sofa bed offers two more comfortable sleeping spots in addition to the master bedroom.<br><br>The modern, high-quality, and fully equipped kitchen-dining area is located in the former smokehouse and impresses with its remarkable vaulted ceiling and original, historic stone floor. A cosy sofa nook has been created where the smoke hood once stood, inviting you to linger alongside the modern dining area.<br><br>The bedroom is furnished with a comfortable box-spring bed and offers a view of the greenery. Bed linens and towels are included. The ceiling panelling, dating from 1803, lends the bedroom a cosy atmosphere for restful nights. A travel cot is available for our younger guests.<br><br>The spacious bathroom, formerly the cook’s room, features modern, high-quality fixtures, including a floor-level shower, bathtub, and toilet. An additional, separate guest bathroom is located right next door.<br><br>The holiday home is also equipped with a washing machine and dryer.<br><br>The monastery village of Polling is nestled in the heart of the beautiful Pre-Alpine landscape of the Pfaffenwinkel—halfway between Munich and Garmisch-Patenkirchen—and offers breathtaking views of the mountains.
