I am a Florida Native and my parents built the Pelicans Roost condo in 1978. I am a meteorologist who grew up boating and surfing in Treasure Island, where I have a second rental on the bay. I am fortunate to have grown up exploring every side of the Suncoast. Beyond the property in Pinellas County, I own real estate in Ponte Vedra Beach.
Why they chose this property
Indian Rocks Beach — or IRB, as locals call it — is one of the few beaches in Pinellas County that hasn’t been overtaken by towering high-rises and endless hotel developments. Instead, it has kept its laid-back charm. The water is typically clear and calm, making it perfect for swimming and relaxing, and the white sand stretches for miles. Along Gulf Boulevard, you’ll find a great mix of locally loved restaurants and scenic parks, all within easy barefoot strolling distance of the beach. It’s the kind of place where you can spend the whole day outside — enjoying the sun, grabbing a bite to eat, and catching a beautiful Gulf sunset — without ever needing to leave the neighborhood.
