Floridia is a small town in the province of Syracuse on the east coast of Sicily. It was founded in 1628 and is characterized by a typical Mediterranean landscape. The sandy beach of Fontane Bianche and the beautiful rocky coast can be reached by car in about 15 minutes. A trip to the nature reserve of Vendicari, about 40 kilometers away, a mix of lagoons, sand dunes, rocky coasts and sandy beaches, is also recommended. Here you can discover a variety of flora and fauna. You can also visit the baroque town of Noto, which was almost completely destroyed by an earthquake in the 17th century and then completely rebuilt.
