Very close to the French quarter and was a perfect distance away. House was very cool and decor was amazing! Host was super accommodating and very open to communication
The place was huge and in a great area. Felt like a real authentic New Orleans house with antique furnishings and decor everywhere. Very comfortable beds. The neighborhood felt very authentic as well, albeit a little noisy throughout the night with lots of activity outside. Neighbors are friendly and authentic New Orleans residents. A real sense of community right outside the doors. The bathroom situation requires a little bit of working around as 7 of the 9 bedrooms are upstairs and 2 of the three bathrooms are downstairs. Really enjoyed the stay and hope to come back again!
This house was in a great location thats close to bourbon street and other attractions. We gad a large group of 12 and there was enough space for all of us. Overall it was a great experience.
Great stay for the price with plenty of bedrooms for a large group. Not too far of a walk from the French quarter, and even closer to Frenchmen St (which has way better nightlife & music scene than Bourbon St!)I think the unit could technically sleep up to 14 or 16 (?) — that would be pretty tight since there are only 3 bathrooms to go around (all 3 have showers). The AC worked pretty well even though we stayed over a pretty hot weekend in the 90s. WiFi is quite slow, though I shared that feedback with the hosts & they said they’d look in to improving the speed & connectivity so it may be better for future stays. Not a perfect place but overall we were very happy with the value and location, hence 5 stars. Would stay again.
Great location and great stay overall. The house was comfortable, clean, and spacious. It felt like a quintessential New Orleans home with lots of character, charm, and fun quirks. The hosts were very responsive and accommodating as well. We'd happily stay here again!
Such a fun place to stay! The house has a ton of personality and felt way more special than a typical rental. Great spot to come back to after a day of exploring and hanging out around the city. Everything was easy and comfortable. I wish we could have stayed longer!
I highly recommend this house! Our group loved staying here The house is a beautiful, old and charming New Orleans home with great decor. It’s like a private hotel. The location was great too. We walked pretty much everywhere. We would stay here again. Thank you for a memorable trip, we will be back.
Loved this house! Came to New Orleans with my family and this house was perfect for what we needed. Big and spacious for our group. Bedding was top notch. I haven't slept that well in a rental before. It was very clear that the owners put a lot of thought into this house. They were also very responsive and attentive. You can tell they care! I would definitely stay here again!

Let’s start with the good: Great location, close to the French quarters Spacious house for our party of 9 Not so great: - Strange men sitting on our front porch in front of our door - The backyard was filled with old mattresses and garbage, we couldn’t use it.House is in a historic black neighborhood across from the oldest black Catholic Church in the country and the new owners say nothing about the history of the area or house (it was owned by famous black mortician) - The house is filled with old dusty Victorian furniture, with a photo of james dean to greet you but nothing about the historical nature of the neighborhood. - there is a bathroom upstairs that is in a bedroomAnd it would be beneficial to add a door so that those who are not sleeping in that room can use it too and not disturb anyone. The floors and some finishes were unfinished such as a door with ripped wallpaper and unpaired or varnished floors with nails sticking out. All in all it could be beautiful but it just didn’t make the mark. For a last min affordable choice during a busy weekend it was fest but the house was creepy and dusty and led us to not wanting to spend much time there as a family.
We had a nice stay! The house is a bit older, but that’s to be expected and honestly adds to the New Orleans charm. The decor is really cool and unique, although it does have a slightly spooky feel depending on the time of day that might not be for everyone. The location is great - super close to the French Quarter and easy to walk to a lot of attractions.A couple of small things to note: the dishwasher was clogged and smelled, but the hosts offered to fix it and we just didn’t end up needing it. The house is also across from a church, so maybe that of why there would sometimes people sitting on the porch. Overall, we enjoyed our stay!
