About the host
Hosted by Bryanna
We’re based in Washington, D.C. and longtime lovers of the Chesapeake Bay--the sea air, birdsong, and time spent on the water with family and friends.
We’ve always enjoyed creating spaces where people can relax, feel at home, and be close to nature. Whether it’s a weekend escape or a longer stay, we know how important it is to decompress in a comfortable getaway.
We love being near (or in!) the water, watching the herons and osprey fly overhead, and exploring the woodland paths that weave between the bay and Drum Pond. We designed this home to be easy, welcoming, and centered in the beauty of the area.
As hosts, we want you to have a seamless, stress-free stay and leave with great memories. We have provided a list of recommendations for things to do in the area, both around the house and nearby attractions. However you choose to spend your time here, we hope this feels like your own Coastal retreat on the Bay.
Why they chose this property
We chose this neighborhood because it captures everything we love about the Chesapeake Bay—peaceful, scenic, and removed enough from the busy world while still being convenient to everything you need. It’s the kind of place where you can truly unwind.
Our favorite thing is being so close to the water. Whether you’re into boating, fishing, kayaking, or just enjoying the view, it’s all right here. At the same time, you’re only a short drive from great local restaurants, marinas, and charming small towns like Solomons Island.
For us, it’s the perfect balance of nature, comfort, and accessibility. Guests will feel that as soon as they arrive.
What makes this property unique
What makes this property special is its direct connection to the water and how effortlessly you can enjoy it. Being waterfront means you’re never far from the view—whether you’re sipping coffee on the deck in the morning or winding down as the sun sets over the Bay. The outdoor space is really the heart of the home, with a spacious deck that’s perfect for relaxing, dining, or simply taking in the peaceful surroundings.
One of the things guests love most is how easy it is to access the water. Whether you’re bringing a kayak, using one of our paddle boards, or just enjoying the shoreline, everything is right at your fingertips. There’s no need to plan or travel once you arrive.
Inside, the house complements that experience: comfortable, welcoming, and set up to allow connection, with an open plan between kitchen, dining, and living room, and ample seating on the deck. In cold weather the cozy fireplace is a special treat. Overall, the views take center stage, and being by the water becomes part of your everyday routine.
