Green Mountain Getaway

Welcome to Green Mountain Getaway, your home away from home! We’re located in Munds Park, AZ, under two hours north of Phoenix on I 17 and about 15-20 minutes south of Flagstaff. Munds Park is at around 6500’ elevation, which is about 30 degrees cooler than Phoenix in the summertime, a welcomed respite! We’re adjacent the Coconino National Forest, which has trails and roads for your off-road and hiking enjoyment. Sedona is close by, and Prescott is to the west.

Our cabin is located on a quiet, dead end road off Pinewood Boulevard, the main street in Munds Park. Ample parking is adjacent the road at the entryway to your Getaway.

The home consists of three levels, with the entry on the second level. Each level has a full bath, with spectacular views toward Sedona and magnificent sunsets over the mountains!

The first level has two bedrooms sharing a full bath. One is a queen, the other a twin. They lead out to a living area having a sectional couch, a large screen television and a dining or activity table. Immediately adjacent is a wrap around deck looking out toward the forest and mountains. A dining table is on the deck, with seating and a porch swing.

The second level has one queen bedroom and a full bathroom with washer and dryer. The kitchen is conveniently located on this level, and has plenty of space to hold whatever you brought with you or bought on the way. The kitchen has all the amenities you need for cooking and dining, whether it be a quick meal or a gourmet dinner.

The open living area adjacent the kitchen has a two-story vaulted ceiling and full height windows so that you can enjoy the magnificent views from indoors. Two leather couches and a large screen TV are for relaxation, and a dining table for 6 provides for your dining needs. A pass-thru alcove immediately adjacent and extending from the kitchen seats 2 or 3 more, providing plenty of seating.

There is a wrap around deck on the second level with spectacular views toward the forest and mountains, giving you breathtaking views of the sunset each night. The deck has a dining table for 6 with additional seating and umbrellas for those days that the sun may be too bright.

The third level has a king bed, walk-in closet and full bathroom with his-and-hers double sinks. It also looks out the windows of the vaulted ceiling, and has its own small deck on the opposite side. Two small skylights admit additional light to bathe the area with natural light.

Munds Park has a few dining establishments, but Flagstaff has everything from fast food to gourmet dining. There are also some eating and drinking establishments on the way - search them out on your smart phone! Full shopping is in Flagstaff, from small shops in old town Flagstaff to large grocers and big box stores.

The adjacent Coconino National Forest gives you great outdoors opportunities, and Sedona is a short drive away. Plus, other attractions are an easy drive, as well. Search them out!

Because of its altitude, Munds Park has 4 seasons. If you’re looking for snow in the winter, occasionally it's there for your pleasure! For skiers, Arizona Snow Bowl is near Flagstaff. Plenty of 4-season activities are available.
