We booked this house specifically for the pool since I knew the weather was going to be well over the 100 degrees. We could have booked at other houses that didn’t offer a pool but this was the main focus of our vacation since we have three younger children. We didn’t get to use the pool since it was green our entire stay. The house was able to be cooled down but the bedrooms remained very hot. My wife and I actually took the mattress and slept in the living room. We transferred both fans to the middle room because it was the hottest and still remained hot. We followed your instructions of always keeping the blinds closed and this didn’t help. I told the host of this complain and he offered to refund us 10% which is ridiculous. I told him I wasn’t happy and requested 40% refund since it ruined most of our vacation with kids and he decided to file a complaint on us and make bogus accusations. His black living room couch is dry rotting from the bottom and he’s blaming us for destroying it. Ridiculous! Don’t waste your money or vacation here.

We deeply regret that the pool issue impacted your stay, which is why we proactively issued a refund to make it right. However, we do not tolerate property damage. Our inspection revealed extensive black powder burns and impact marks high on the walls and archway from indoor cap gun use, not 'couch debris' as claimed. The AC system was also verified to be working perfectly at 70°F. We always strive to provide a great experience, but we must protect our home from severe house rule violations.
