About the host
Hosted by Irene & Joerg
We’ve loved Lake Tahoe for many years — long before we owned a home here. My wife grew up visiting Tahoe during the holidays with her extended family, renting cabins for Christmas and New Year’s. Those trips left lasting memories of snow-covered trees, time together, and being outdoors.
Over the past decade, we’ve returned often with our own kids to ski, hike, swim, and simply unplug from everyday life. We’ve stayed in many short-term rentals ourselves and have taken notes on what makes a place truly comfortable and welcoming. We’ve tried to design our home around those lessons — clean, modern furnishings, a well-stocked kitchen, thoughtful extras, and a layout that works well for families and small groups.
We hope our home helps you create your own Tahoe memories.
Why they chose this property
We chose Kings Beach because it offers one of the best combinations in North Lake Tahoe — walkability, access to the lake, and proximity to multiple ski resorts.
Being able to walk to the beach, restaurants, mini golf, and kayak rentals makes summer easy and relaxed. In winter, you’re just a short drive to Northstar and Diamond Peak, with Mount Rose and Palisades Tahoe also within reach.
We also appreciate the neighborhood’s family-friendly feel. The backyard space offers a secure area for kids to play, and the layout of the townhome allows parents to keep an eye on things from inside. Easy parking for multiple cars is another big advantage, especially during busy weekends.
It’s a practical, central location that works year-round.
What makes this property unique
Our townhome stands out for its thoughtful setup and balance of comfort and location.
The main living area has been recently refreshed with modern furnishings, creating a clean and inviting space to unwind after a day outdoors. The kitchen is well stocked — including pantry staples, condiments, pancake mix, two coffee options (drip and Nespresso), and a brand-new whisper-quiet dishwasher and refrigerator with filtered water.
The two-story layout separates living and sleeping areas, which works especially well for families or small groups. The private backyard patio provides outdoor space that’s rare in many Tahoe rentals, and its enclosed setting offers added peace of mind for parents of younger children.
You’ll also enjoy easy off-street parking for 2–3 vehicles — a real benefit in Kings Beach.
We’ve tried to create the kind of place we would want to stay in ourselves: comfortable, practical, and close to everything that makes Tahoe special.
