It was our 2nd year here and it was great once again. Love hanging out on the dock, having a fire, and going to the nearby coffee shop and restaurant. Very peaceful!

Very nice lake, and I liked the old cabin feel. However, the listing said there was a shower, but there was no shower. I called and messaged the host but didn't get a response. We ended our trip early just so we could get back to having a shower. The beds were full of human and pet hair from previous visitors. Made us question how clean it was to sleep in. Besides these two things, everything else was great. We really enjoyed the lake.

We had an excellent time at this cottage, instructions from owners were clear, we lacked nothing and enjoyed everything. The cottage was perfect for what we were looking for, a serene setting where time almost stands still, although time did seem to accelerate as departure time approaches.

Climate change has impacted central Wisconsin. We are considering A/C. However, we keep our prices low by having a “no frills” cottage experience. The lake is always nearby if you’re really overheated!

We try to describe the property and amenities accurately. It is not the Hilton. It is better in many ways for that reason.

Emerald Lake Vacation

The cottage was very well kept, easy to find and a beautiful location. We felt at home there and were thankful we could bring our dog. We had a question during our stay and they were extremely responsive. The lake was pristine and just our style.

Steve, we are glad that you (and your dog) enjoyed your stay. Hope you had a chance to jump off the pier for swim to the raft as well as enjoy the mirror reflection at sunset. If you get up early enough, the fog rolling across the lake in the morning is pretty exceptional as well. Enjoy a cup of coffee on the patio. Thanks for being our guest

If only we could guarantee good weather! Thanks for coming back. Our list of returning renters is growing. A great location, and a classic cottage at family friendly pricing. Our own family now has four generations building memories filled with cannonballs, some mores', hammocks, bratwurst, and walks around the lake.

Cozy cabin at the lake

This was a wonderful property. It was clean, well stocked with kitchen supplies, had boats galore and was easy to find. We couldn’t have asked for a better way to relax and unwind before the end of summer!

Our family uses The Cottage four our vacations and all the cooking utensils we use are available for our guests. The end of the summer is often very quiet and tranquil. The evenings will predictably cool down to near perfect sleeping temperatures. It makes for great campfire weather on the lakeside patio.
