Boasting a unique treehouse feeling, yet featuring a fully updated interior lacking in none of the modern necessities, you’re in for a treat when you book High Tide Hideaway. You’ll enjoy close proximity to beaches, a bike path, and birdwatching directly from the two oversized decks, as well as a large yard, perfect for relaxing or playing. Start the day sipping coffee on the corner sectional in the screened-in sunroom and then retire to one the hammock or the swinging chairs downstairs for a mid-morning snooze.



Inside, you’ll find a bright and unique space with modern furnishings, a royal blue spiral staircase, and pops of color and whimsy everywhere. The fully updated, open kitchen features open shelving, quartz countertops, and a full suite of stainless steel appliances, and the gang can dine together at the adjacent table for six. The comfy sectional is the perfect spot to stream your favorite shows or, if you can’t agree on what to watch, the main suite upstairs features a streaming-capable TV as well. If you’re looking for more together time, grab a board game and set it up outside to enjoy the evening.



If a beach day is in store, grab the provided beach supplies and boogie boards and head for the sand. Or, hop on one of the two bikes and explore the island on two wheels. We loved this house .it was like being in a tree house and the huge porches was great for us and our dog . Having a grill and screened in porch was awesome too. We didn't use the upstairs because just us 2 but if goin had kids or younger couples it's really cool ! A short drive to a few beaches and the town was very cool as well

This home is located in the woods and so pretty. Outside fire pit, bikes , and a very nice deck with a comfortable enclosed screen porch. Enjoyed our stay very much!

Enjoyable and relaxing!

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful property. It rained a lot so we did not use the outdoor amenities much, but were super impressed with all this property had to offer! We highly suggest it for a relaxing getaway!

Quaint stay in the woods

The home had a great vibe with lots of light inside (especially being in the woods) and opportunities to be inside and outside. It was great for what we needed and centrally located to town. I wish there had been coffee pods or I had known to bring my own, but other than that and a few minor things, it was perfect.

Had a fantastic time staying at this house. It was super well equipped from the awesome grill to the fully stocked kitchen. It was super clean and had an abundance of towels and blankets. But the best part is the deck where you can just hang out after a long day at the beach or sightseeing. Even the dogs loved to hang out on the deck. Would definitely stay here again.

Was a perfect place for a quiet get away. Greatly appreciate the ability to bring my dog. Was cozy, well finished but don’t expect any personal touches (no games, books, extra toothbrushes, etc). WiFi was marginal, kept going in and out. But would rent again.

Spring Break in Dauphin

This was a little oasis in the woods that felt like you were living in a treehouse! It was the perfect spot to get all around the island. We especially loved the blue and yellow decor as well as the deck and screened in porch! The two bikes came in handy to get around and enjoy the island as well! We would highly recommend this quaint and beautiful space!

We stayed here for 8 nights. Perfect place for us, we loved the location and the whimsical feel of the home. The only negative was we ran out of gas for the fire pit in the covered porch and I was told we’d have it refilled the next day, they didn’t switch it out. It was a little cool when we were there so we used the fire every morning and in the evening.

A great Fall Break!

We loved the outdoor fire pits! Our two young boys enjoyed being able to run around outside and finding massive pine cones. The outdoor seating area made it great for family dinners under the twinkling lights. Even with some rain we still enjoyed our trip by heading down to the aquarium. We loved the house!

Great Dauphin Island Getaway

If you’re looking for a private, quiet location, this is the ideal place. (If you want proximity to beach, you’ll need to bike or drive.) Screened in back porch was a nice area to relax outside in the evening bug-free. Property was clean with easy check in and out process. Biggest word of advice: if you like a morning coffee, bring your own k-cups. We took coffee expecting a traditional drip maker. Property has a Keurig but no place on the island sells k-cups.

Sweet 16 trip

Took a weekend trip to the beach for my daughter's 16th birthday.was very comfortable, clean and only a short drive to the beach. Plenty of room for us to relax and not be cramped with 4 females and the dogss. Would recommend to friends and family. The spiral staircasris steep and norrow. Teenage girls didnt mind having the entire airs to themselves tho. Hated to go back home to work and routine.. but we must adult

Great location

Overall our experience here was pleasant! The pictures are accurate, and the location is great! The house sits at the end of a dead end street and it is private. We loved that the re were bikes for us to use. We ended up taking a bike ride over to Ft. Gaines. The only issue with our stay was the house had a very strong smell of mildew or mold. I understand that being on an island water damage is possible, but the smell was very strong on the first night. We ended up having to keep the windows open our entire stay to help air it out. Also the tv in the upstairs bedroom did not work. We would stay here again though!

Spiral Staircase and Property Managers

Overall, it was quite lovely! Just a couple things to know. First, if you can’t do stairs well, this is not the place for you. It’s 20 stairs to get to the main level, and the only way upstairs is up the metal, spiral staircase. It wasn’t super clear that was the only way to get to the other two bedrooms. It’s tight. It was tricky to go get some water in the middle of the night. Our dog came, and he had to sleep downstairs with my son bc I didn’t want to chance a fall. If you’re elderly or have littles, or plan on drinking this might be a struggle the whole time. We loved the scenery. The decks were amazing. Screened in porch, a must. The grill was perfect. We loved the laundry! Did a load every day…sometimes two with towels. Pack light since you can do laundry. That being said, you will want to bring dishwasher pods and possibly laundry detergent, napkins, maybe some ziplocks? I talked to another person on the island who rents, and she said their renters have to bring their own supplies as well. We were given 3 dishwasher pods for our 6 nights, so we got fancy doing dishes. There was a small jug of tide, but that might have been a renters leftover bc we were given 3 laundry pods. I don’t know if that was clearly explained in the description or welcome text, so just a heads up. The only other issue is their response time. I messaged on the VRBO site, and didn’t get a message back the whole time. I messaged the number that sent the welcome text, and it was still a few hours before they got back to me. So, just be aware of that.
