About this property

Yosemite Nature Escape: Pvt Gem • Pets • BBQ • Cozy • Split BRs

Nestled on a private parcel among towering oaks and granite outcrops, Granite View Retreat is a restorative escape for couples, friends traveling together, a small family, business travelers seeking quiet focus, and nature lovers bound for Yosemite. The cozy space blends warm, homey touches with rugged outdoor charm so you can relax indoors or roam the grounds and feel instantly away from the everyday.

Step inside to an open living area that invites conversation, board games, and movie nights on the Smart TV. The kitchen is bright and well stocked with cookware, a bar dining table for four, and a Keurig with K cups—perfect for slow mornings or fueling up before a hike.

Two comfortable bedrooms sit on opposite sides of the main living space so each couple enjoys privacy; both bedrooms provide easy access to a full bath (one en-suite with shower; the other with tub/shower). A desk in one bedroom provides a quiet spot for light work or trip planning. The laundry room with washer and dryer keeps longer stays effortless.

Outside the living area the property opens into a peaceful, private yard framed by boulders and granite ledges. Lounge outside, dine under the stars and fire up the barbecue for an alfresco meal at the picnic table. String lights and a cornhole set create a playful, cozy evening atmosphere.

Watch for birds and wildlife that visit the grounds—this is a place to decompress and reconnect with nature and that quiet voice inside.

Practical comforts: Starlink for streaming or remote work; on property parking; washer and dryer; Smart TV and an extensive DVD collection and player; toiletries and hairdryer provided. Pet friendly—bring your well behaved companion and enjoy the open space together. The home sleeps 4 comfortably.

Location: You’re just 5 minutes from downtown Mariposa for dining and local shops, and roughly 35 miles (about 45–60 minutes) from Yosemite’s Arch Rock entrance. Spend your days hiking, photographing granite cliffs, or exploring the valley, then return to a quiet, private retreat where the only lights are the string bulbs and the stars.

Whether you’re planning a romantic getaway, a paired couples retreat, a getaway for a small family, a focused work trip with restorative evenings, or a base for Yosemite adventures, Granite View Retreat offers privacy, comfort, and a front row seat to nature.

It was the perfect quite retreat after long days in Yosemite. Highly suggest saving money and time, do your own cooking and enjoy the outside BBQ area, very peaceful. (We tried eating in town one night and it took 1 hour and 45 minutes to get our meal.)I would suggest a better can opener :) and the kitchen sink needs a new aerator. Both items too minor to reduce the rating. We would stay again. Thank you!

Mariposa is as close as you can get to Yosemite and still be in a town with groceries and restaurants. The house is in a very quiet area and provided a nice place to relax after a day at one of the national parks. Communication was good as well. We'd stay again.
