Our family has vacationed on Edisto Island for three generations. In Fall 2025, we finally made our lifelong dream of owning a small piece of paradise here come true. This home was once a mostly forgotten beach house, but after a labor of love restoring it, we’re excited to welcome guests who appreciate this charming little island as much as our family does.
Why they chose this property
You can walk to Whaley's and the beach in just two minutes. A public tennis and pickleball court is located on the street behind the home, and the island’s bike path is easily accessible for exploring by bike. Golf carts are permitted in this area for convenient island cruising. Beach Access 27 off Point Street is one of the best spots nearby, offering parking, bike racks, and space for golf carts.
What makes this property unique
The location of this home on Laroche Street is truly incredible. Tucked away on a quiet, dead-end street, it offers privacy and a safe place for kids to explore and play. The Angel Oak in the backyard is the cherry on top. Each time we visit, we take a photo sitting on the same limbs of the tree—our own version of a height chart—watching our crew grow a little taller right alongside it. It’s become one of those simple traditions that makes this place feel even more special.
