Lovely location, wind blowing through the trees, rain pattering, just beautiful scenery and wildlife. Great places to eat nearby, The Red Onion is excellent, Bread Alone was busy but good, so much we did not get to do, but the town seems cozy and fun!
Our stay was better than we could have imagined! This is a best kept secret - so quiet and serene nested in the trees of Woodstock just a few minutes from town. The best of everything and David is a perfect host. Hope to stay here again!
What a fun get away! The house was neat clean spacious and had everything that we needed for our stay. The hot tub was easy to use and clean on a fall afternoon. The outdoor porch plus other sitting areas were enjoyable to take in the natural scenery from all v as stage points. Just 5 minutes to town which made it very convenient also!Lisa & John
I can’t recommend this house highly enough. Everything about it was great. All of the rooms were large and well-furnished. The kitchen was well-stocked, linens and towels were provided. And the setting is beautiful - very quiet and peaceful but close to downtown Woodstock. We were there during a heat wave but the combination of the AC and ceiling fans kept the house comfortable the whole time. And the location was great - close to both town and hiking.
the house was beautiful and well maintained. Instructions on how to use different heating and appliances were also very clear. All and all a great stay and lovely experience!
David was a great host and the property is beautiful. I also appreciate the little things, such an: clear directions in a binder, games, cable tv, soap, shampoo, ample paper products, and kitchen basics. Many properties lack basic supplies and it makes the stay more difficult, especially if it rains. David made the experience feel like we were staying at a friend’s home.
My wife and I really enjoyed this home. David is an excellent host and made sure we were comfortable while being snowed-in after a major storm. We found Woodstock to be a great town and the perfect home base for exploring the quaint towns in the Catskills and Hudson Valley.
Beautiful, cozy cabin nestled in the woods - beautiful in the snow! Great location to disconnect and still be close to town. Would return again when it’s warmer.
It was a very nice property. It's very well-appointed, lovely nooks and furniture. And a nice collection of books too, actually. My husband and I came for the weekend, and some friends joined us for one night. It was very quiet, peaceful... the hot tub was a nice perk. It took a while to heat up, which the owner warns about, but once it did, it stayed hot for a long time. The back porch is especially nice... gets dappled sunlight in the morning. We didn't have a fire, though it was cold enough at night for it. Probably a wonderful spot in the winter.
We enjoyed our stay at David’s place and it was exactly as described! Unfortunately we were there during the polar vortex and the land was covered with snow, would love to see it in the spring. Communication with David was excellent and the hot tub was a great. A couple of skips and your in the town of Woodstock and not to far from Saugerties! Overall highly recommended
Terrific little property tucked in the woods above Woodstock! The house was cozy and comfortable - the perfect hideaway on a snowy weekend, and had all the amenities we were looking for. The host was communicative leading up to the rental and available at any time if needed during our stay (though we didn’t need anything.) All instructions were clear and understandable. Really could not have asked for anything more. Thanks for a great stay!
