The Mummelhaus, approximately 120 m² in size, is located on the outskirts of the town of Sehmatal-Neudorf in a wonderfully peaceful setting, yet it’s still not far from the town centre. The fenced-in property, approximately 1,000 m² in size, is available for your exclusive use. The mature trees and the distance from the nearest buildings give you a real sense of being close to nature. Thanks to the property’s gentle slope, you can enjoy the wellness area—featuring a barrel sauna, outdoor shower, and relaxation area—behind your holiday home in complete privacy, shielded from prying eyes. The outdoor hot tub is a highlight in both summer and winter. Both the sauna and the hot tub are wood-fired, and we provide the wood for you. A rustic, cosy barbecue area, along with a garage and space for up to two cars, round out the outdoor facilities.

The spacious south-facing balcony offers plenty of sun. With a little luck, you can experience breathtaking sunsets here. Its fully covered design also allows for very special moments even on gloomy days. It is fully furnished and offers enough space for all guests at the table. Enjoy, for example, a hearty breakfast in the fresh air.

After an eventful day in our beautiful Ore Mountains, a roaring fireplace invites you to a cosy get-together. The spacious genuine leather corner sofa in the fireplace room offers plenty of space for all guests.

In winter, the snow can sometimes reach right up to the ground-floor windows. But that’s precisely why the dining room there—with its combination of a wood-burning stove and solid wood furniture—offers a very special, cosy atmosphere. Enjoy its charm during meals or a game night. A small selection of wines will be waiting for you upon arrival; you can purchase them if you’d like.

You’ll find a fully equipped kitchen, 2 bedrooms with double beds, 1 youth room with a bunk bed (2 metres x 0.9 metres), its own TV, and a separate toilet, a spacious bathroom, a dining room, a fireplace room, and a hallway with a relaxation and reading corner.
Hand towels, bath towels, sauna towels, and dressing gowns are provided free of charge.

Pets are very welcome here. The property is fenced in, which is sufficient in most cases, so your pet(s) can explore the grounds freely.

The municipality of Sehmatal charges a visitor’s tax for its guests.

Adults: €1.50 per night; children ages 6–18: €0.75; students, schoolchildren, and apprentices up to age 27: €0.75; children under 5 are free.

Guests of the Mummelhaus are required to pay this tax. Please pay this fee to us upon your arrival.
