About this property

Sleeps 9 · 3 King Suites · Ridgetop Farm Views · Dog Friendly

Imagine waking up to sweeping mountain views, stepping onto a wraparound deck with a fresh cup of coffee, and feeling the whole week's worth of stress just melt away. That's The Hill House — a lovingly designed retreat tucked into 200 acres of rolling Tennessee farmland and forest, perched on a secluded ridgetop just 30 minutes from Downtown Knoxville, Pigeon Forge, or McGhee Tyson Airport (TYS).
It's the kind of place that feels like a deep exhale. Come for the views. Stay for the stillness. Leave already planning your return.

~Why You'll Love It~
Three spacious King bedrooms mean everyone sleeps like royalty — perfect for several couples, a large family, or a group of old friends finally making the trip happen. With the futon and twin bed, the house comfortably sleeps up to 9 total. Two full bathrooms, a soaring open living area flooded with natural light, and a fully stocked kitchen set the stage for long, lazy days and even better evenings together. When you're ready to explore, the Great Smoky Mountains, Dollywood, and Downtown Knoxville are all within easy reach. When you're not — the deck, the views, and the cozy blankets will hold you just fine.

~Sleep~
Bedroom 1 (Main Level): King bed + full-size futon
Bedroom 2 (Upper Level): King bed, shared full bathroom
Bedroom 3 (Upper Level): King bed + twin bed, shared full bathroom

Every room comes with premium pillows and linens, reading lights, a full dresser, and closet with hangers — because comfort is always the priority here.
Both bathrooms are beautifully finished with custom vanities. One has a walk-in shower; the other a full tub/shower combo. Hair dryer, bath products, and fluffy towels all included.

~Gather~
The open-plan living area is anchored by a gorgeous decorative fireplace and wrapped in enormous windows — so the mountain views are always part of the room. Sink into the triple reclining sofa, pull a cozy blanket over your lap, and find something great on the 75" smart TV. There's also a baby grand piano in the living room for those who enjoy a musical moment.

The fully equipped kitchen has everything you need for a quick breakfast or a full group dinner: electric range, dishwasher, fridge with ice maker, microwave, toaster, drip coffee maker, and a pour-over setup for the coffee lovers in the group.
When the weather's right, take it outside. The partially covered deck was made for golden-hour dinners, morning coffee in the cool mountain air, and watching the sun dip behind the ridge.

Also on hand: full-size washer + dryer, fast gigabit fiber Wi-Fi, and plenty of parking.

About the host

Host profile image
I’m a traveler and host based in Knoxville, Tennessee, and I take great pride in creating thoughtful, comfortable stays on our family farm. I know the details matter, and I’m intentional about making sure each guest feels relaxed, cared for, and truly at home. I’m responsive, easy to reach, and always happy to help. Hosting isn’t just something I do; it’s something I genuinely enjoy, and I can’t wait to welcome you for a peaceful, memorable stay.

Why they chose this property

Seymour sits in that sweet spot most people spend years searching for — close enough to everything, far enough from the noise. I love this stretch of East Tennessee because it feels like the version of the Smokies that hasn't been overrun yet.

From the property, the views are amazing and the nights are genuinely quiet. You're surrounded by farm land and rolling hills, with the kind of sky that reminds you how rarely you actually look up. It feels rural without being remote — Knoxville is just 20 minutes away, and the entrance to Great Smoky Mountains National Park is about 30.

What makes this location especially practical is that The Hill House sits in the tri-county overlap of Knox, Blount, and Sevier Counties — a rare position that puts an unusual range of destinations within easy reach. Sevier County's draw is obvious: Dollywood, Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, the national park, hiking, fly fishing, and mountain scenery in every direction. But guests are often surprised to find that Knoxville's energy is just as accessible — UT campus, Neyland Stadium, Market Square, and the Tennessee Theatre are all under 30 minutes away. And McGhee Tyson Airport in Blount County sits close enough that a quick trip in or out doesn't eat your whole day. Most destinations require you to pick a lane. Here, you don't.

What makes this property unique

There are plenty of places to stay near the Smokies. What's harder to find is land — real land, with room to exhale.

The Hill House sits on its own stretch of East Tennessee countryside, where the acreage does most of the talking. Guests aren't looking at a neighbor's back porch or a parking lot. They're looking at rolling hills, open sky, and the soft ridgeline of the mountains in the distance. That view doesn't get old. Guests who've come once tend to come back specifically because of it — and because nowhere else they've stayed has felt quite this uninterrupted.

For couples, that sense of seclusion is the whole point. There's a quietness here that's hard to manufacture and impossible to fake. Mornings feel private. Evenings feel earned. Whether you're celebrating something or just trying to reconnect, the property has a way of slowing things down to the right speed.

For families and groups, the land itself becomes the activity. There's space to spread out, room for kids to roam, and enough breathing room that a larger group doesn't feel like it's on top of itself. Reunions, milestone birthdays, long weekends with people you don't see enough — The Hill House holds all of that without feeling cramped or staged.
