About this property
Polderhaus-deichblick Direkt am Dollart - Polderhaus - Deichblick Direkt am Dollart
A warm welcome to our Polderhaus-Deichblick in the Southern East Frisia vacation region, right on the Dollart, in an idyllic and rural setting.
If you’re looking for absolute peace and quiet, love long bike rides or walks at sunset, want to dine in the garden with your loved ones while enjoying a view stretching for kilometers across cornfields, and don’t place much value on modern furnishings and amenities, then our 1937 Polderhaus is the perfect place for you.
The house has two separate apartments and is typical of East Frisia, though very simply furnished. If you value modern furniture and comfort, this is definitely not the place for you. The house comes with a 1,500-square-meter lot featuring two large gardens with fruit trees (apple, pear, plum, cherry), currant and gooseberry bushes, and a large bike shed (5 old bikes available!). Depending on the time of day, you can either relax and dine in the front garden or sit behind the house and watch the sun set behind the dike while enjoying the fresh North Sea air with a cool Jever.
The accommodations are ideal for 2–6 people. With two separate apartments, it’s perfect for large families with children. Dogs are welcome here! You can rent just one apartment (for 2–4 people) and choose it on-site; if you’re vacationing with up to 6 people, you can split between the two apartments as you like. Whether there are 2 or 6 of you, you’ll always have the property to yourselves and enjoy the entire space exclusively. The two apartments are never rented to two different families at the same time.
Our polder house is located right next to the Dutch border, in the middle of a cornfield. The nearest neighbor is 400 meters away. If you’re looking for absolute peace and quiet, this is the place for you. The surrounding area offers many great places to visit, such as the many charming little Dutch villages just across the border. In Bad Neuschanz, it’s worth visiting the local thermal baths and stopping by the Dutch fish stand (accessible by bike). A viewpoint 5 km away offers a beautiful view of the Dollart, where some East Frisians even go swimming in the summer. Unfortunately, there are no sandy beaches in the entire region. In the fishing village of Ditzum, you can buy fresh shrimp and take the ferry to Emden. From here, you could continue on a day trip to the North Sea island of Borkum. The town of Bunde, 6 km away, offers restaurants and shopping. Cities like Papenburg (Meyer Shipyard!) or Leer are within easy reach and invite you to shop or take a leisurely stroll.
All in all, our Polderhaus is ideal for unwinding and exploring the peaceful, idyllic surroundings on foot or by bike.
Our sunsets behind the dike are among the most beautiful of all!
The Niehoff family welcomes you!

Entspannung pur
