Love the views

We love the views. The only issue people may have is the drive up but if you are ok with mountain roads it's no problem

GREAT TRIP

We loved the property and the unit was amazing, the pictures don't do the unit justice. The view from the balconies and the couch over look down town. Loved and we will be back.

Spring break

Clean and beautiful views, would suggest more towels for spa and note where fuse box is located as we didn’t realize some fuses were out downstairs / thought lights were broken.

Wonderful Stay

Was a Great week in the Smoky Mountains. Great view of the Gatlinburg and surrounding area. Really excited to see the Bears mostly everyday. Had no problems and fantastic views. Went to 2 of the pools and they were nice. Got used to traveling up and down the mountain in a few days so was not to bad. Had a wonderful time.

Stay at Chalet Village

This was a very nice cabin in the mountains. We had 3 bears came and paid a visit to use each night. They kept their distance. The property managing company worked with us due to having to have a later check in time due to our vehicle issues.

Loved the cabin for the price. Had everything we needed.

Amazing view. Cabin had everything we needed. Enjoyed the hot tub and pool table daily. Totally worth the price. We drove down in a 2500 Ram.... not the correct vehicle to take down the switch back roads and the huge incline To the drive way. Thank you for letting us enjoy your cabin! Seen a black bear our second night. Ober Gaitlinburg tram goes right by the cabin.

Good overall

Clean cabin with all the basics available. The oven broke just before we got there so I was limited on meals I could prepare there. Though it was repaired our last day there. The keurig coffee maker was also not working. The hot tub was surprisingly clean and was great after a day of hiking. We saw bears all three days of our stay. Crazy steep driveway, I’m glad we had an suv. Good cabin overall, not luxurious but great for families.

Cute property, minor issues but would rent again.

The house is located high up on the mountain and has a very nice view (minor tree obstruction but nothing to complain about). The layout of the house is nice, one bedroom on main floor and two on the ground floor. Our only two complaints is the slightly narrow deck on the main floor (wraps around from the front door to the side facing the view of Gatlingburg) and the fact that when we stayed it was obvious that no one had recently cleaned either deck area. The amount of cobwebs and spiders was a major turn off to spending any time on either deck. While it only took us 10-15 minutes to sweep/clean everything off the lack of attention was fairly obvious by the weathering/fading of the exterior of the spa and of the other chairs/furniture on the decks. Outside of that the property was nice and the interior was clean so not an issue, would consider renting again if we return to Gatlinburg in the future.

Grand view did not disappoint!

This exceeded our expectations, renting sight unseen can be a little nerve-racking but I can honestly say this was an incredible rental. Very clean and had everything we needed to make our vacation perfect. My 14 year old declared this the best vacation every after seeing the pool table, hot tub and view. He is a tough one to impress! We did see a baby bear and mama in the driveway or first day there, a little scary since we were getting in the car to go somewhere. However, they were passing through and paid no attention to us. That was the only instance in the 10 days that we saw a bear. Though our neighbors had one several times go through their trash, we never had an issue. This was a great base for seeing all the sights around, everything was easy to get to. We were sad to see vacation come to an end, our last morning was tough, we hated to leave Grand view, thanks for sharing your little slice of heaven, we will definitely be back!

Romantic Cabin

My husband and I rented this cabin for our 20th wedding anniversary and were not disappointed. It is private and peaceful. It was wonderful playing pool in the downstairs entertainment room and then listening to the crickets in the evenings. The trees were dropping acorns all over and a few times we were almost pegged, but hey, that's nature. We bought some steaks and grilled them and after dinner had a glass of wine while relaxing in the hot tub listening to the sounds of the woods. We were fortunate enough to see a black momma bear and her cub walking along the road to the cabin. We got some great pictures as we slowly and carefully drove by them. Many of the stores in downtown Gatlinberg has changed since we were last there but the atmosphere is the same. We visited the many hiking trails and swimming holes we were familiar with. If anyone was looking for a good hiking trail, The Chimney Tops is always a winner. Our favorite swimming hole is called The Sinks and is right off a road in the Smokies. I highly recommend this cabin and hope to rent it again. Thanks for an amazing place to stay for our anniversary!

Bear Heaven

If you love bear sightings this is your place!!!!! We saw multiple bears every single day!!!! Cabin was clean and worked well for the amount of people that went. I would say our let down was that we couldn't swim. 2 of the 3pools closed the day we wanted to go and we couldn't find the 3rd pool. We just found other things to do. The huge table was nice!!!! We would 100% book this cabin again!!!!

Amazing experience

It was everything we wanted for our vacation. Our kids loved the pool table and it was an incredible veiw. Both of the mountains and over Gatlinberg at night. We had a bear get into the trash because my boys forgot to lock it and into my car that my husband forgot to lock. We did not actually see any bears though, which made my kids sad. It was plenty of room for my family of 6 and was equipped with everything we needed. This is our 3rd Tennessee vacation and by far our best cabin yet. We would like to go to this one again in the future.

A week in Smokey Mountains with the family

The cabin is tucked away on the Smokey Mountains. About 15 mins down the mountain to Gatlinburg. The roads are narrow and steep, bigger vehicles might have a harder time. Our F350 pickup had a hard time turning in the driveway and often we had to back down the road to let other cars pass. Kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need (some pans could probably be retired-they've seen better days), we bought a pizza slicer for future guests. :) There was enough towels for all 6 of us, just washed them a few times to reuse. There is a washer and dryer and detergent and softner available. There was enough TP for the week, but I would recommend bringing more paper towels, there was only 1. The hot tub is large enough for 6 people, but also has seen better days. On day 2 we had errors on it, I reached out 3 times during our stay to get someone out to fix it, but no one ever came. We tried to problem solve and clean the filter out, but unfortunately it was a short term fix and the water just got cold. Access to 3 pools in Chalet Village. All were clean and had other things to do there as well (pool tables, tennis courts, foosball table, basketball). Bring your own swim towels. As far as the bears, we saw a minimum of 3 a day! They usually come around 7/8 am and then again around 5/6 pm. One would come to the backyard daily. We saw one open a car door using it's teeth, so make sure you lock your doors! Also, saw one climbing on the back of a pickup truck trying to get it open. The biggest one was about 400 lbs, when we were sitting on the back deck and it started coming towards the steps of the house. Fortunately, our dog noticed first and alerted us, otherwise it may have just joined us for drinks and the view on the back deck! LOL Overall, we loved Tennessee. We loved how the cabin was tucked away in the mountains away from the busy strip. The view was amazing and it had plenty of room for us and our 4 kids. We loved spending nights hanging out playing cards or pool. Suggestions: update hot tub or at least leave extra filters/ chlorine tabs etc. The TVs in the bottom bedrooms did not have remotes, so the channels needed to be changed manually. Maybe leave an info book in the cabin (wifi password, how to use the hot tub, what to do in the event of emergency) We had two bad thunderstorms at night where the lights flickered, maybe some flashlights in case the power goes out. Other than that, thanks for the great memories!

The house was great. We had bears visit every day. The view of Gatlinburg was beautiful.

We had a wonderful family vacation. The ride to town was a bit treacherous. We had bears come up on the deck walked right up to my husband. They were not aggressive thankfully! The kitchen had everything we needed & the master had a very comfy bed.
