We enjoyed our stay at the Palacio overall. It’s super spacious w/a beautiful modern style & offered a good sense of security. Its location was ideal w/convenience to restaurants, activities & the beach. However there were several areas where better communication & attention to maintenance would have made our experience even more enjoyable.Communication w/property mgt sometimes lagged & important information wasn’t timely communicated. The front entrance to the building was unusable & we weren’t given any notice, explanation or instructions for entering the building. We also weren’t informed personal beach chairs couldn’t be placed at the waterline of the condo’s private beach, as that area was occupied by a chair rental co.We encountered a few maintenance issues. The balcony fan didn’t work & the primary bathroom ventilation fan was inoperable. While we enjoyed the large soaking tub, the showerhead had extremely poor water pressure.Additionally, the elevator situation was a concern. We weren’t notified of the planned elevator maintenance until after our reservation was made & no updates were provided regarding the 2nd elevator that was out of order during our stay. Walking up 10 flights of stairs w/a loaded beach wagon after a long day in the sun was certainly unexpected! More proactive communication about these circumstances would’ve helped us better prepare.We would certainly consider returning to Perdido Key & this property for the amenities, beauty & relaxation!
