House is amazing! Furniture does not match the grandeur of this house!
We absolutely love this house! The location and view are perfect! The kitchen is well stocked and made it easy to cook. I love the buffet area for entertaining and meals. The negative would be the decor and the furniture. The beds are not very comfortable and the rooms lacked any kind of design. The very large sofa sectional kept pushing apart and should be connected. In my opinion and experience a home this big and that accommodates many guests should have more tv’s. One room has metal bunk beds. The deck and spa are amazing but bring your own chairs! There is no furniture on the deck to enjoy the amazing view. We will book again for sure but hope the owners replace some of the furniture for comfort. I would recommend this home.

Nice home in a good location
Nice home with a great view of the lake. Good space for a group. We had 6 adults and 4 kids and the house worked well for us. I'd highly recommend guests bring their own pillows as the ones provided are very bulky. Big blue couch in the livingroom was comfy. 2 smaller couches were not too comfortable. Lots of twin beds in the home, I'd suggest the owners add another queen to one of the rooms. There's no AC and no plug in fans so make sure to pack a plug in fan if traveling during a warmer time of the year. There's no BBQ or outdoor furniture so pack accordingly. We were aware of this when we booked so it wasn't a surprised to us. All in all we enjoyed our stay. The hot tub was clean and worked well. With a couple comfort adjustments my review could easily be a 5 star review.

The master suite is huge and well appointed. The kitchen is beautifully updated and had everything we needed, but bring your own cooking oil). All bathrooms are updated nicely. We really had a wonderful stay! Neighborhood is super quiet and peaceful. We saw a bear right in front of the house as we were leaving in the morning.
The living room is huge, but 2 of the 3 couches looked new but were not comfortable to sit on. As stated in another review, the TV is a bit small and/or too far away from the couches. Game room was fun and had plenty of pool queues, but no place to sit. The dining room table was huge -- could easily accommodate 10 people but only had 6 chairs, which were clearly too few given the 9 beds! The hot tub was perfect! The deck was really nice and mostly private, but there were no deck chairs to sit on. The best view is from the kitchen window and the narrow end of the deck, where I could clearly see Donner Lake.
Overall, a great house, but needs much more/better seating.

Good… but the potential to be GREAT.
The house itself was very spacious and perfect for our family trip. A couple complaints would be much bigger tv, the great room is so large the tiny tv is hard to see from the couches that were far across the room. There was no bbq grill or outdoor furniture!! That was a huge miss for us as that’s our favorite thing to do is sit outside on the deck and have our meals/coffee and take in the fresh air. Would recommend ceiling fans in the bedrooms. Lastly, the pillows were awful- bring your own. We all woke up with sore necks. Some awesome positives were location and VIEW! The hot tub was very nice once it started working. Our first night it did not work and it was huge bummer as we were so looking forward to using it! They had to send maintenance man to fix it. Toto bidet toilets in all bathrooms! 2 bedrooms upstairs were a bit awkward. The space could allow for a much larger bed/ rather than the small twin bunks/ that room
Could fit an additional queen which would be great for a family! And maybe some tv’s in the bedrooms.

Truly a gorgeous home! Stunning views of the mountains, Donner Lake, and the forest -- we saw coyotes and bunnies running by through the snow (at different times, whew). We had a fantastic time skiing at Tahoe Donner and tubing at the snowplay area, both very nearby.
Cooking was a delight in the ultra-updated kitchen with amazing features and lots of tools.
Each bedroom has its own bathroom, all of which have been nicely updated -- we appreciated the towel and seat warmers.
The easy, flat, circular driveway and a spacious garage helped a lot as the snow was piling up outside (be prepared for steep streets though).
We reported some things that needed fixing but didn't get much response during the busy holiday week. The main disappointment was that the we couldn't use the pool table because the tips were broken off the cues. The ping pong net was broken, too, but we put together a temporary fix and had a lot of fun playing. And we had to do a weird workaround to get the smart hot water heater to give us hot water in the kitchen (by running a shower first) -- it would have been good to get some answers there. Also, the can openers were broken and there were no kitchen towels, but we had brought both so no problem there.
Overall, we loved the house and had a great getaway!
