Our annual 2 family vacation.
We thoroughly enjoyed this rental - it was quiet with plenty of spaciousness in the house. We hiked the Pacific Crest Trail and appreciated the quaintness of Truckee and spent a day at Lake Tahoe. We especially liked the Squeeze In restaurant.
This house was perfect for three different families made of 3 adults and 5 kids. Kitchen is well equipped.
We enjoyed snowshoeing behind the house.

Beautiful and spacious mountain home
We spent our second Christmas in a row in this wonderful home. It's spacious, comfortable and even has a play loft for the kids. The kitchen is well stocked with pots, pans etc. and the dining room table can comfortably hold 10. Tahoe Donner is a perfect neighborhood for enjoying Truckee and the mountains.

Nice /equipped home
Very nice home that is well equipped . The owner provides everything , sand toys , snow sleds , chairs for the beach , umbrellas etc. The only downfall is the room downstairs is very small ( so don't plan on trying to fit a porta crib in that room ) . Two of the rooms upstairs are very spacious , but the third room upstairs is small. The passes to the community pools /gym/private beach, were a big hit with our group . Overall nice home ,

Great home, lacking service
The house was actually really nice and the photos didn't do it justice. Tahoe donner is a great spot to stay in North Lake Tahoe/Truckee, and the house was very close to the downhill ski area, and somewhat near the sledding and nordic centers. The kitchen was well stocked with cookware, the living spaces were grand and fit the tahoe mood. Bedrooms comfortably slept 11 adults. Living room furniture is a tad small for a large group that fits in the house. It takes a long time to heat the house up, which would be nice if hosts could turn up to a reasonable temp before arrival. We were shivering until 3am the first night.

Lovely home, property management team needs work
This is a gorgeous, spacious home with plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms. Very comfortable and convenient.
My critique is for the property management team. There was virtually no soap in the house- one small bar in one bathroom and dish soap in the kitchen. Several lightbulbs were out. When we arrived, we found the downstairs master bedroom carpet soaking wet from an obvious leak in the window and the room reeking of mildew. We immediately called the number on the info sheet and while they sent someone the next day to scrape some of the ice away from the window ( a short term fix so the dripping would stop) nothing has been done to address the really huge, wet, moldy carpet mess. We didn’t need that room/bathroom so simply closed it off but it will be a real problem for the homeowners and could have been better handled earlier.
But the house itself was a really beautiful, comfortable family home that more than accommodated our 2 families- even without the master bedroom and bath!

Great Property for Families
This was a wonderful property for our group of 3 families, all with small children under 4. The family bedrooms worked really well to fit each family. The downstairs bedroom is too small to really sleep more than 1 or 2. We also enjoyed the large kitchen, dining room, and living areas. The house is very clean and, aside from the lack of child safety gates for the stairs, is perfect for small children. The playroom was a big hit!
The reason this property has 4, rather than 5, stars is due to an issue with Vacasa management rather than with the house itself. The information for this property mentions that, among the many amenities and items available at the house, are a crib and slow cooker / crockpot. In addition, there is also reference to a shared hot tub and sauna facility. We called Vacasa the morning of our second day (out of 4) at the house to inquire as to the whereabouts of the crib and slow cooker, as well as the location of the shared hot tub and sauna. Fred, who answered the call, basically told us he couldn't help us with the crib and slow cooker as he had never been to the house and there were no notes for the house on these items -- that was understandable and we could live with that, but wished the information on the property was updated so we did not arrive thinking we could go with bringing one less portable crib and planning for slow cooker recipes after long days of skiing.
Regarding the whereabouts of the hot tub and sauna, however, Fred owed me a call back which he never returned. We scoured the whole house and found recreation passes and the house binder also makes reference to the shared amenities, but we were unable to figure out exactly where these amenities were and there was no address for an amenity center. We could see a hot tub on our neighbour's porch, but presumably, that belonged to the neighbour unless we were advised otherwise.
Overall, a great house, but I am disappointed by Vacasa property management's lack of response.
We chose this house because of the size and room/bed arrangements. We had one small issue locating the passes for the amenities, however they resolved it promptly. Would definitely stay here again.

Very nice house
We love the massage tubs. The house is huge and spacious for the kids to play without running thru the kitchen. Quiet neighborhood.
We actually loved this house and will return. It had a good selection of bedrooms and beds so we could arrange family groups and find quiet spots for naps. The toy room was a great bonus! We were there on an unusually hot weekend and didn't know there was no air conditioning, so if you go when it's hot, take fans. It probably isn't extremely hot too often, but the July nights were very hot this year. There are two main categories that could use improvement. (1) Please make it clear that the Tahoe Donner member privileges are only partly available to guests (renters). We could use the Marina Beach Club for a hefty price, but the swimming pool reservations were much more limited, not just by covid, and difficult to obtain. There would have been a hefty price for these as well. (2) The kitchen was adequate, but the utensils, pots, and bowls seemed furnished by a clearance table at Goodwill. Chairs at the table were a little wobbly. Come on, this is a high end rental! One last thing, we did not find the advertised crib.

Amazing location and beautiful house
We loved the location and the overall feel of the house. Love the open and well-lit family room.
However, we did face some issues, which we believe should be taken care off.
1. The appliances were really old and need an upgrade ( Microwave would take a really long time to heat up, Dishwasher bottom rack rails would constantly fall off Refridgerator - Most of the door shelves are missing.)
2 - Shower fittings were broken/ not working properly in two of the bathrooms
3 - One of the tubs had very slow drainage and we had to call to have it fixed - I should however highlight the property management team was quick to respond and fix the issue.

Pod vacay in Truckee
Hi.
We arrived and there was no key in the padlock and the garage door also didn’t open. So a nuisance upon arriving. Called VRBO several times to get support. We eventually did get the door open.
Inside the beds were comfortable and the kitchen very well supplied with utensils, etc. Some items could use updating, including the pots.
The overall decor could also use some updating.
The location was great and it was near to all of our winter activities.

Love the house
Great experience, although I didn’t get any reply back from property owner. Wish they were
More responsive.
This house was perfect for us as we wanted a short stay away from home in the snow. This house was so cozy and inviting! We enjoyed every minute of our stay.
We love hiking so we decided to take a little vacation to Lake Tahoe. We decided to rent this cabin to have a great experience with my family but sadly it was the opposite. As soon as we got the cabin we noticed a big hole on the Porch, I took pictures and contacted the property management i got told it was going to be takem care ASAP and it never happened. The next day my 10 year old son went to get his backpack out of the car and forgot about the hole and he tripped he sprained hisankle and cut his knee. My son couldn't stand up or even put weight on his leg that totally ruined our whole trip. We tried contacging the property management but no one answered. We couldn't enjoy our trip and had to spend the whole trip takimg care of my son because the whole never got fixed.

Dirty Bed sheets in 2bedrooms. Ceiling fans dusty, windows and dishes dirty unwashed.
Overall nice and comfy place for a large family. Enough space and beds for a family of 12 with two young children too.
