About this property
Newly Built, Dog-Friendly, Colorful Creekside Home - One Mile to the Ocean
Summary:
Riley Creek Bungalow
The Space:
Beautifully and newly built with your comfort and vacation experience in mind, this home is the perfect spot to settle in for your next escape to Gold Beach. This Oregon Coast retreat features a polished kitchen with a large island, sleek contemporary design, and brand new stainless steel appliances, as well as a comfortable dining and living room where guests can enjoy time together. Outside, you'll love relaxing on a spacious deck that overlooks the waters of Riley Creek. The front porch swing is something enjoyed by kids and parents along with seniors–the perfect place to unwind!
A reputable architect designed the duplex to take maximum advantage of the surrounding geography in a manner that would create a serene and private setting for its occupants. The area is quiet, the sounds of nature abundant, and the gurgling creek soothing (which when flowing at its usual pace can be heard when inside either dwelling), and visits from deer, bugling elk, wild turkeys, and the occasional owl or bear are daily reminders of one’s connection with nature. The placement of the carport between the two parts of the duplex, as well as the layout and position of each home in relation to the other, was designed to maximize the exposure of each to nature and to maintain privacy between the dwellings.

This was such a beautiful place. The location upon arrival was stunning with deer in the yard as we pulled up. It was minutes away from the beach and local grocery. Check in was easy and the home offered everything we needed. We traveled with our school aged child and 2 little yorkies and were super comfortable! Enjoyed eating local seafood, exploring the numerous beaches from Crescent city to Bandon.

The property said it had a BBQ it did not. We had brought steaks to BBQ and ended up having to go out to eat. The sheets were either stained or dirty either way we chose not to sleep in that bed. The neighbors light was bright and shined into the bedroom. Unable to take a shower as the tiles in the bathroom had huge gaps and slid around you could actually lift them up. The tub slid on the floor and could tip over if you leaned on it an absolute accident waiting to happen. We were unable to lock the door as they didn't give us a code of the lock key box. Hole in the ceiling with wires exposed where should be a light. Most uncomfortable furniture I have ever sat on. We had booked 2 days and checked out after one requesting our money back. Still waiting on a resolution to that. Very disappointed as we had to spend additional money to stay somewhere else the second night.
Place was clean quiet had several deer in the yard in the morning it’s close enough to walk to the beach overall great stay for the price would happily stay again!

Overall it's a nice place to stay. Deer would come in the yard snack on leaves and grass. Clean inside, comfortable beds. Nice to unload luggage right at the front door. The only downside is the spiderwebs all over the outside of the house and around the windows. If we were the Adam's family it would have been great . No BBQ as pictured, would have been nice.
