Peaceful Cabin Escape | Hot Tub, SHARC passes, A/C, Walk to River - Dogs OK
Summary:
Pine Cone 6
The Space:
Get ready to hit the slopes from your own private chalet with this dog-friendly Sunriver vacation rental. With a private hot tub, access to SHARC, and a quiet forest setting, you're sure to love it here.
Located in the desirable south end of Sunriver, you're only a short distance from to the Deschutes River and SHARC (the Sunriver Homeowners Aquatic & Recreation Center) via the convenient walking and bike paths right behind the house. Mt. Bachelor, with its excellent skiing, is 21 miles from your door. A spacious driveway and garage allows everyone to park comfortably.
With high ceilings and enormous windows, the common areas are sophisticated and welcoming. The living room features updated furniture and a wood-burning fireplace in the corner that warms the air on chilly evenings while you select something from the DVD and VHS library to watch on the all-new Smart TVs. Each has Roku with guest mode to safely access streaming apps. Stay connected by logging onto the WiFi to surf the web or check weather reports for the next day.
The well-stocked kitchen is ready to be put to use, featuring all new appliances. Brew some coffee to get you going, then use the mixer to make something a bit complicated. When you're done, whisk the dishes into the dishwasher and enjoy your meal at the lovely wooden dining table or the breakfast bar. If you're in the mood for barbecue, use the gas grill on the deck and eat outside in the fresh air.
After a long day, have a soak in the hot tub on the deck to chase away any aches you picked up on the mountain. Once you're feeling nice and mellow, head back in and put some music on the stereo. Get lost in a book, or challenge someone to one of the home's board games.
There are three bedrooms total, all three with TVs and DVD players. The master bedroom, upstairs, has access to a private balcony. With a new king mattress and lots of natural light, it's a great place to have some private relaxation time. Downstairs, another bedroom with a new king mattress has huge windows. A third bedroom has two twin-over-full bunk beds, so the kids can have their own private domain. Eight guests can comfortably stay here, with dogs welcome to join for a small nightly fee.
The home has two full bathrooms, so scheduling mirror time won't be difficult. Don't fret about the inevitable spills - there's a washer and dryer available to make sure everyone's clothes stay clean.
This home is perfect for families with children vacationing together. In the garage, in addition to the Ping-Pong table, there are enough bikes for everyone (child or adult) to explore the nearby bike paths. Head down to the Deschutes River to watch the sunsets, and maybe catch sight of a beaver family building a dam, or hear the calls of owls. Spend time in the woods or by the river, or head to Fort Rock Park to play some tennis. Golf fans can choose from one of the many public golf courses in Central Oregon. Grab the bikes in the garage and head to the Village Mall for an ice cream or a visit to an on-site restaurant.
If you're here during the season, you'll love the proximity to Mt. Bachelor Ski Area, only 21 miles from the house. With some of the best snow conditions in the country, this area plays host to many professional and Olympic skiers. With 3,683 acres and 10 lifts, there's plenty of variety!
In the summer, you'll love splashing around SHARC. With several pools, a special pool and sand area for toddlers, a hot tub, water slides, a basketball court, a bocce ball court, event spaces to rent, and more, this is the perfect place to spend whole days. SHARC passes are included with this rental.
For skiing in the winter and swimming in the summer, book this Central Oregon vacation rental today!

Our family really enjoyed our stay here. It was conveniently located to everything. We loved all the amenities, such as the many bikes, hot tub, games, toys, and great selection of movies. Something for all ages to do. We hope to rent your great home next year!!
This house is perfect for a solo traveler, couple, or family. My dog and I stayed here for a lovely week of running, biking, hiking, and relaxing. This was our second stay at the house and we plan to return again.
We had such a blast! Great location right on the bike path. Loved that SHARC passes were included. Lots of great bikes in the garage and the ping pong table was fun!

Great Home
Home looked a little dated in pictures. Not at all. One of the cleanest and most well kept homes we’ve stayed in. Love it. Location is wonderful and quiet. Will definitely stay here again. Thank you!!

Wonderful place!
This house was amazing and has everything we needed. Super fun to be able to bring our dog since we never like to leave him behind. The hot tub was great and everything was clean. Everything worked great and such a lovely space.
This is probably our 4th or 5th time staying here over the years, and is now our go to place for Sunriver. Our family loves this house and considers it the only place we can stay now. It’s comfortable, tidy, and filled with everything you need. It has the cozy home feel, quick access to the bike path, away from the noise yet close to town. We look forward to many more years here!

Very comfy relaxing cabin in quiet area
Our family loved our 3 night stay at Pine Cone 6! The cabin was very comfortable and roomy, big kitchen well stocked, comfy couches in living area with room for all, big deck, and we loved the quiet location with path and river nearby. The grandkids used the SHARC passes and bikes. Had fun pontooning and zip lining while there. Had an issue with a toilet, and staff was very quick to help, and we appreciated their friendliness and service. Overall a great stay and we hope to stay there again!

A bit old but great.
Great location for what we like most about Sunriver, close to the river with a bike path next to property. Quieter Sunriver area, less busyness. Big deck in a wooded area, we loved it. Looking forward to booking this spot again.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback, Jennifer. We appreciate you choosing to stay with Vacasa and are sorry to hear that the home did not meet your expectations.
We understand that staying in an older home can sometimes come with its own set of challenges. Please know that we take your comments very seriously. Our local team has been notified, and we are taking steps to address the issues you mentioned to improve the experience for future guests.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention, and we hope to have the chance to host you again in the future under better circumstances.
Second time staying at this comfy spot. Terrific location with walking and biking trails just outside the door. House had everything we needed (although kitchen knives need an update). We would happily stay here again. It’s cozy instead of fancy, but we like that when traveling with teens and a dog. Hot tub and ping pong are great features, plus a huge dvd selection we took advantage of. Sunriver is a wonderful place!

Older Sunriver home
The house worked well for our family of 6. Some beds were pretty firm and not comfortable. Kitchen was well stocked.
Lots of movies available if you had bad weather.
Lots of bikes but not all of them were rideable.
Close to bike path for walks and bike rides.
Furniture is worn but ok for vacation with kids and dogs.

Thank you for your review, Julie! We're glad to hear that the house worked well for your family of six and that you enjoyed the well-stocked kitchen and the variety of movies available for entertainment.
We appreciate your feedback regarding the firmness of some beds and the condition of the bikes. We will certainly look into these issues to ensure a more comfortable experience for our future guests. Additionally, we will assess the furniture to see how we can improve its condition.
Thank you again for your insights, and we hope to welcome you and your family back for another enjoyable stay in the future!
Overall, the property is great.
However, my family left 2 days early because the evening temperture in the house was consistenly 84-86 degrees at night on 94+ degree days.
Also, in my opinion it is time for some basic upgrades like pillows, sheets and a couple of the mattresses. The living room furniture is functional but worn like the bedding.

Simple, cozy, and warm welcome. Make kids happy.
Friendly family. They have everything as kid toy, a ton board game, bikes, kid/adult books, etc. (You don't have to bring it). It made it easier for us to have a large number of people. You just can drive a normal car without load stuff. Even they have a baby changing table. They have coffee maker and filters, too. The kitchen has everything and foil too. We shocked that 3 foil boxes there! We didn't like fancy home. This home is perfect for a cozy and happy family. We are very satisfied and will be glad to do again for next time.

This was a great getaway for family getaway with 3 young granddaughters and dogs. Lots of games to play, bicycles for all
ages, even ping pong & hot tub. We enjoyed sitting on both decks front and back. Nice and roomy and adequate. It has been well used which was fine with children.
Had a great time. Everything we needed was there. Nice quiet area, very decent deck furniture, extra fans, AC works great, close to town, close to river, golf course, was overall a nice experience.

Nice stay!
We really enjoyed our stay. Rustic feel, nice, private hot tub and lots of bikes! Vacasa team was very responsive if we had any questions. One note: bike path goes through the back about 20 yards off the porch, just to let future visitors know. The SHARC passes were fantastic!

Spacious and Peaceful
We loved the quiet and peaceful atmosphere of this home as well as the cabin like feel. It was close to the golf course and the bike trail with a short walk to the river or the village. The owners put a lot of work into making sure that there are a lot of comforts for families such as movies, books, games, toys, and even a ping pong table. The cabin was roomy even with two families staying for the weekend. The kids loved the bunk room and the private hot tub! We will come back and stay again!
The actual home was great for us and worth the cost quoted per night. It was cozy for two families (8ppl) and has just about everything you need. The style and decor is stuck in the 90's but when you're there for the nature, that doesn't matter so much. It was close enough to Bend and Mt Bachelor for us to enjoy both during a long weekend.
My gripe is the fees tacked on to the nightly rate which makes the house not worth the cost. Every possible fee (hot tub fee, pet fee, resort fee, booking fee, damage waiver, etc. and then another fee to Vacasa) is not included in the nightly price, so you have to wonder what the money you pay per night is going to if not at least some those fees. Fees for us were over 100% more than the nightly cost. It just felt like another way to fleece more money out of us (reminds me of Ticketmaster). So when you see the nightly cost for this home, keep in mind your final bill will be more than double.
