We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful home. Communication was prompt. Unfortunately, the fireplace and the fire pit were not working, which was frustrating. One of the sinks in the master bathroom was clogged and the bottom oven in the kitchen was smoky when turned on. Also a bit frustrating. On our first morning, as we were planning to sit outside with our coffee, the landscape crew came and stayed about 1 1/2 hours. Not a huge issue, but frustrating. Still, we enjoyed the home and the spectacular views.

Relaxing location with great views!

We loved the location in the orchard particularly after a long day of site seeing and hiking. Relaxing on the deck and watching the sun set over the river was wonderful.

The house is way out in the country. We are a group of friends who have been vacationing together for more than 50 years. We spent most of our time in the house visiting and relaxing. It was a great vacation.

Stunning views

I grew up in The Dalles, with a view even, but this was such a beautiful property. Very quiet. Well appointed kitchen. Wine weekend with the ladies was a success.

Wonderful location in The Dalles

The property which is located in an active cherry orchard is an amazing place to spend time. My family and I loved to wander around the property and take in the views of the river and the gorge. Lots of birds about and it was very relaxing. While feeling very remote the house is quite close to The Dalles so it was easy to pop into town for any items we forgot.

We had four children, aged 4 to 8, and six adult adults. We had 105 temperatures, AC problems and a few water temperature problems. The Home provided us a lovely space for the kids to play..

Incredible location!

The home is incredible with sweeping views of Columbia Gorge and The Dalles on a hillside tucked in amidst fruit orchards. While the home is dated (carpet/bathrooms/wallpaper) - it has an updated kitchen, a great outdoor space, hot tub, and both the living and sleeping spaces are great. We really loved staying at this home and likely will look to return. The kitchen could have a couple of items that would make it even better (better knives) and it lacks an outdoor grill, hopefully they will add those for future use. Great place! Vacasa was also very responsive via text to questions we had about check-in, and was a nice feature!

A Dreamy Nook Club Retreat!

Our book club had the most incredible retreat at this cabin in the woods! From the moment we arrived, we were surrounded by breathtaking landscapes—tall trees, fresh air, and a peaceful setting that made for the perfect escape.The home itself was stunning and thoughtfully designed, with plenty of space for our group to relax and connect. The cozy atmosphere, well-equipped kitchen, and comfortable bedrooms made everyone feel right at home. The hot tub was a fantastic bonus—there’s nothing like unwinding in the warm water while taking in the gorgeous surroundings!Everything about this stay was accommodating to everyone in our group, making it truly stress-free and relaxing. Whether we were curled up with books by the fire, enjoying meals together, or soaking in the peacefulness of nature, it was an unforgettable experience.If you’re looking for a serene, beautiful getaway that combines comfort and relaxation, this is the place! Highly recommend, and we’d love to return.
