The layout of the house was good, but overall the experience was disappointing. The jacuzzi was acceptable, though it was quite small. Unfortunately, the house was not properly cleaned upon arrival. There were spiderwebs on the light fixtures, dust on the floors, and when we stripped the bed at checkout, we found long black hair at the base of the bed linens. My hair is blonde, so this was especially unpleasant.Basic supplies were also inadequate. There was not enough toilet paper provided for a group of 14 people staying five days. We were forced to drive into town to buy more after being told this was not Vacasa’s responsibility. Additionally, about half of the trash cans were already full when we arrived, leaving us struggling to manage trash with only two empty cans available. While the refrigerator itself was clean, the freezer section was dirty, with sticky spills that made it unpleasant to store food. Communication with Vacasa was another issue—responses were slow and did not resolve our concerns.Because of these ongoing problems, the stay was not enjoyable, and we ultimately left early.

We’re very sorry your stay did not meet expectations and appreciate you sharing your feedback. We will address the spiderwebs, dust, and freezer with housekeeping and have the home treated for pests. Initial supplies are provided, with additional items being the guest’s responsibility. We’ll also review trash removal to ensure cans are empty upon arrival. Maintenance addressed the reported issues the following day, and we regret that communication felt slow. Your feedback helps us improve, and we hope to welcome you for a much better stay in the future.
There were 14 of us, grandparents all the way down to a toddler, and the home accommodated us beautifully. We never felt crowded. The only thing that was tough was that there were not enough dishes for a family of 14 to constantly use. It would help to keep more dishes, particularly glasses, on hand. It would also help to have more large serving dishes to serve meals. Other than that, we were very pleased. I would book it again.

We are so happy that you enjoyed the vacation! Thank you for your suggestion of adding more dishes and glasses to the home. We are passing this along to our local staff. We hope to host you again soon!
We were there two years ago ,loved the place so much and decided to go back. This time was disappointed in few areas
The place has been run down since two years ago. The dishwasher was filthy, the microwave was not cleaned, the facet of kitchen was broken, the dryer wasn’t working.,no baking pan, only 10 coffee mugs in a house could accommodate 16. No ice cream scoop,…….
Good supply of pellets for the wood stove o keep the house warm 👍.

Great house for a large group
My only complaint is about the dishwasher, it was pretty disgusting with mold in the bottom that made the whole sink area smell really bad, I’m pretty sure it’s a health hazard.
Everything else was awesome, we had a great time.

Hi, Claire! The dishwasher will be inspected and replaced if needed. We apologize if it posed an inconvenience and do hope you'll consider returning despite it. Thank you!
The house was relatively clean although it looked like it had been cleaned months ago judging by the rings in the toilet. House was def missing cooking items such as mixer, drink pitchers, and other things. No hair dryer in main floor bath but there is one now because I bought one. There is no ac like most homes in the area and temps hit 100 when we were there. No ceiling fans in main level bedrooms so it made it very very hot. Supposedly another trash can in laundry room and wasn’t there. They def need to specify the trash day because a weeks worth of trash will not fit in the trash cans provided. Lastly, the two swivel chairs need to be burned as they are disgusting.
These are all small items. The overall layout of the house is great! The deck provides a great tree view. I’d update the deck chairs tho.
Again very fun house and location is off the beaten path so that makes it nice !!!

Thank you for your review, Shannon. We are pleased to learn that you enjoyed the layout of the home and the view; though we regret to hear that you weren't thoroughly impressed with all aspects of your stay. Unfortunately, the home does not offer AC or ceiling fans, but we’ll look into adding room fans. Trash is disposed of by our housekeeping staff after each guest departure, or by request during your stay. The homeowner is looking into updating the deck chairs, and we’ll pass your comments about the need for any additional kitchen items and a blowdryer to them. We look forward to welcoming you back during your next stay in the area!
Had the best time skiing mount hood and coming back to this awesome spot every day! Plenty of room for everyone, great amenities, beautiful view, and loved the hot tub after a cold day on the slopes! Thank you!
This is the 3rd or 4th time we have stayed at this property in the winter, and it does not disappoint. In fact, we loved the improvements made since our last stay: new couch, beautiful new floors, new lighting, fancy heated toilet seats, etc. There is plenty of space for our extended family of 12. Lots of towels, bathrooms, good beds, and a terrific location. Had a wonderful time as usual- highly recommend it!
Just as advertised, the second apartment really came in handy and there were plenty of sleeping areas.
Just make sure you get the key from the right lock box!
This home is a great place to stay. We drove up and found the key in a lock box (after trying the wrong box for 5 minutes we realized there were two and viola - we were inside). It was well stocked with pots, pans, service wear. Nice stove. The tea kettle was on the stove and a welcome sight to shake off the cold as the pellet stove started to warm up. It was a rustic interior but very homey and comfy.
The famous sledding hill that is mentioned in Previous reviews is now private land and not available for use. But 2 minutes away is the Summit - a small ski park with tubes for rent. Perfect for the kids and sledding was still fun for the adults. It should be mentioned most attractions are open Thur- Sunday only. Further up the road is Snow Bunny and all its fun.
It was a grand trip and a lot of fun

Awesome space!
Perfect for a family or friend gathering, lots of rooms, a big common area on the top floor and two kitchens to make cooking group meals easier. The ski wax area in the basement was also super convenient for storing and working on our skis between days on the mountain. Had a great time!

In a cabin in the woods...
There are 14 of us. I have three grown kids, plus their spouses, and their kids. We are aged 68 years down to 23 month twins. The kids loved the sledding hill. The younger adults loved the hot tub. I loved the apartment for one family of 7 so the twins could sleep/nap while the bigger kids played or the grown ups stayed up late playing silly games. The master bedroom can just barely handle two pack and play beds.
The rooms were good and beds were comfortable. We cooked every meal at the house and found everything we needed except for full sets of measuring cups and spoons. I know those things wander off some how. We wished the internet was a bit faster but really we were there for the togetherness and the snow and that was wonderful. There were plenty of towels and TP, dish soap and pellets for the stove. The kitchen dish towels are not very absorbent and we could have used more dish rags to wipe up spills and wet floors. Maybe switch to 100% cotton towels and dish rags. The place can sleep 14 people but the kitchen, dining room and living room on the main floor doesn't really have enough chairs or table space or room for 14 to eat together or sit around the fire together. But overall it was a lovely 4 nights with my kids and grand kids.

Great home for Family get togethers
We really enjoyed our stay at the house. We stayed four nights warm and cozy after spending the days playing in the snow. The sledding hill was the best! There were 7 adults and 7 kids and enough room for us all. The apartment was great for the twin babies and family. They couldn't hear us and we did hear them except from the monitor we brought. What a nice home.
