The Cedar House



The Space:

Ideally located at the base of Mt. Hood, The Cedar House is the perfect home for your family's next fun-filled vacation. This beautiful two-level, three-bedroom house features a private, furnished deck dressed in lots of comfortable seating and a private gas grill for those fun family barbecues. Inside, the home enjoys vaulted ceilings, beautifully finished floors, and an open concept in the main living space with lots of room to move around. When you're not out back relaxing under the homes beautiful old-growth cedar tree, hang out in the entertainment area to watch your favorite movies and shows with the Roku TV. The handsome woodstove will ensure the home is nice and toasty during frosty evenings and the ceiling fan will keep things cool on warm days.



The full kitchen enjoys all the appliances and counter space the family chef needs to put together a delicious meal for the gang and you can enjoy your creation at the dining table with seating for six or outside on the deck as an al-fresco meal. The breakfast bar includes three barstools for the kids to enjoy their favorite afternoon snacks. Afterward, let the dishwasher knock out all the dirty dishes while you head out to explore the many nearby amenities that include a shared pool and hot tub at Mt Hood Oregon Resort. The home is close to the three golf courses in Welches. When it's time to call it an evening, you'll have three well-appointed bedrooms to get a wonderful sleep in.

House was a bit out dated, the spices and condiments in the cupboard are about 10 years expired. While watching a move the soundbar gave us a lot of issues. Beds were comfy, house was warm, hot tub was good. The house was roomy, just needs updating and a good clean. There were some bugs in the kitchen and living room. Upon arriving, the power was out for about 5 hours and house was unbearably cold. A generator would be something to consider.

Sweet little place

We were here for business and the house was perfects great location to Mt Hood Resort. Pretty view from the deck and back windows. Clean. Beds are kind of uncomfortable, not a lot of support. But everything else was great.

Lovely house

Great house in quiet neighborhood. Surprisingly excellent restaurant options. No luck trying to contact property management before trip, but it wasn't an emergency, so it wasn't an issue. Lots of foot traffic with walking path and golf course bordering the house.

Winter wonderland getaway

We really enjoyed our stay at this house! It felt very clean and kitchen had enough dishes cups pots utensils etc. We loved playing the the backyard making snowman and forts. It's very close to thriftway and easy drive to all the ski resorts and sno parks. The queen bedroom and room with 2 bunk beds were on the main floor which was enough for our family of 4 so we just stayed on the main floor the whole stay. Only thing I would like to mention is that the heater is really loud. I didn't mind it but my husband said it woke him up couple times in the middle of the night. I loved the location. Would stay again.

Right next to the golf course

Which is great, if you like that sort of thing. We ended up renting this property when the property I originally chose became unavailable because of bed bugs. Vicasa did graciously step in and offer us a couple other options that were, admittedly, more expensive than what we had originally rented. The house was just fine. Lovely vaulted ceilings, spacious enough for our whole group. There were a few small cleaning issues that I messaged them directly about. The golf course is literally right out the back door of the house. Golfing is not my thing, and the lawn mowers were very loud every morning right outside our windows. Again it was sort of the last minute change to rent this property and it was just fine for what we needed

Loved it!

Loved the location and home! Very comfortable beds. Close to areas of food and entertainment. It was tucked into a secluded neighborhood which we loved. The only thing I was surprised about was the laundry. There was a load in the washer not washed and dryer was full. I went ahead and did the laundry and folded it, placing it on top of dryer. I was a little confused about that and then did unload the dishwasher from the last people as well. It would be nice to have a little laundry basket in laundry room to leave our sheets after use. As the day of leave you need to strip the beds and start a load. Other than that we had a absolute amazing time at the house and overall I would still even with the laundry give it a 10/10
