The cabin was cozy with the fireplace available for use during a cold weekend. The kitchen appliances were important for our stay for a family gathering, and property management was very helpful in making sure they were working and available. The surrounding forest views were fantastic!

We really enjoyed our stay here. The property is unique and in a great location. Be mindful of the long, steep driveway to get to the property.

What a cabin! We loved everything about this place. It was super secluded on the top of a big hill, had two nice bose speakers strategically placed in the dome, and was very quiet. Would definitely go here again.

Beautiful house, great location in the woods near Mount hood. House was clean but was very dusty. We couldn’t figure out how to use the stove but luckily they had a back up. 3 bathrooms was super convenient. We did have a bit of trouble getting in because the code they gave us was wrong but we used the other code they gave us for the lock box and it let us in the door. Awesome that we were able to wash our clothes too. Overall a great experience.

Hi Emily! We are so glad you enjoyed your stay, but we are sorry you encountered a few issues. We appreciate your patience and look forward to providing you a 5-star stay in the future.
The main issue we had was the cooktop on the range did not work and that made cooking difficult with just a 2 burner spare that was available.

We were enthralled with the property. Fun, serene, close to the grocery store and Mt. Hood. Wonderful place.
Only complaint (this is silly) was that the pool table was quite tight and game rules caused some heated family debate!
Would highly recommend it.

Hi Richard! Thank you for your 5-star review. We are so glad you enjoyed your stay. We loved hosting you and look forward to your return!
My husband and I brought our pup for a short stay this summer. We absolutely loved this property. Very quiet, serene, and peaceful - exactly what we were looking for. It had all of the amenities we needed. There were a couple of minor pieces of feedback we sent to the property manager about cleanliness and the check-in code, and they were very responsive. We also loved that this house was close to the grocery store and several hiking trails. We would stay here again!

We loved the property and amenities. We were disappointed when the bbq caught on fire because it wasn’t cleaned. We felt safe, but it could have ended in disaster had we not acted quickly.

My family really enjoyed our weekend stay at the Cedar Creek Hideaway! The home is cozy and very private. Had a little trouble accessing the house upon arrival because we didn’t have cell service and no access to email or the app to get the lockbox code. So future guests can learn from me and jot down directions and codes before leaving for your trip!

We love staying at the Geodome! It's location was secluded from the neighbors, while still being really close to everything in Welches. You really felt like you had solitude in the forest. The beds were really comfortable & the kichen had a good mix of utensils & pans/dishes. We have a small issue with the door lock but the folks at Mt Hood Rentals were very helpful in getting it taken care of quickly! Cedar Creek Hideaway was a great base camp for our Mt Hood adventure!

Dome home was unique!
We liked the secluded location. It was super quiet. It does need a few details like, there was a DVD player but no DVD'S and lots of VHS tapes but no VHS player. And the pool table needs a short pool cue to play. The home needs updating for sure but is a good rustic cabin vibe.

Great remote spot to watch the stars and be unplugged from your devices. House has satisfactory furnishings but if your idea of staying in and watching Netflix is your jam, this is not the place to stay. Internet works fine, but electronic equipment is dated, missing pieces, and there is no cell service. Kitchen is well stocked with what you need to cook. Accessing the property is difficult for 2wd vehicles - it's up a very steep hill on a gravel road.

Nice location but needs a lot of work
The property overall was unique and our hopes were high. As soon as we opened the door, we sensed a whiff of musty smell. We opened the doors and windows to air the house a bit. None of the doors(including the bathrooms) had functioning locks. The fridge did not get cold. We spent 3 hours trying to get the electric cooktop working. After calling the "emergency" number, someone told we needed to flick the breaker on the basement. We reset the breaker a total of 5 times as it would get overloaded every time you have more than 2 burners on. The emergency dispatcher sent someone to check on the fridge the next day when most of our dairy had gone bad already. They couldn't fix the fridge, as it was apparently "new" and there is nothing to be done. Lets talk about the basement, where the additional bedrooms were. If you are scared of spiders and centipedes, definitely avoid the basement. While there is zero air circulation, there was a hole cut out on the room for air (i guess). Oh yeah, and you can smell the bathroom thru the entire basement. Not trying to be too harsh given the property is old but you can't be charging hundreds of dollars and put in zero work on the property.

Weekend reunion
The house was great for a weekend ski trip reunion with friends. We loved the shape of the house and the spacious outdoors area.
Few things to note for future guests - the Wi-Fi is extremely slow. Not a bad thing but came in at about 2mbps when we tested (well under 20 as listed). I was surprisingly able to take zoom calls for work and run some editing software but at lower quality.
The cleanliness and communication was not as expected for a full rental agency. There were a few stains and sticky spots on the floor. My group was not bothered by it but rather surprised for the cleaning prices.

Hi, We are happy to know that you enjoyed your stay at the Cedar Creek Hideaway. Unfortunately, many of the locations at Mt Hood do not have high-speed Internet available and this is one of those locations. Internet speed goes up and down based on how many other people in the area are accessing it at any given time. We do have several homes with fast broadband Internet. Please ask us before you book next time. Betsy and the team at Mt Hood Vacation Rentals
