Perched high above Garden Valley, The Domestead is a one-of-a-kind off-grid geodesic dome built into the edge of a granite cliff—surrounded by 87 private acres of towering pines, rugged rock formations, and thousands of acres of Idaho wilderness.
Designed for couples seeking something unique and memorable, this secluded mountaintop dome offers complete privacy, sweeping forest and canyon views, and frequent visits from wildlife like deer and elk. It’s a place to slow down, reconnect, and experience nature in its purest form—without sacrificing comfort. Whether you're cooking a meal together, sitting on the deck taking in the views, or hiking right out your front door, the experience here is simple, unforgettable, and hard to replicate.
Inside, The Domestead is fully equipped with a kitchen, private king bedroom, and a full bathroom with shower and toilet, along with electricity, heating and air conditioning, a refrigerator, and premium linens and towels for a comfortable stay.
Getting here is part of the experience.
The mountain road to the Dome is well-maintained year-round. During snow-free months it's easily accessible by AWD vehicles, and you can drive directly to the front door. Guests may also choose to hike the road if they prefer a more immersive arrival.
