Little Bear Cabin is a unique and recently renovated A-Frame style cabin located in Robbinsville, just outside of the Nantahala River Gorge. The Nantahala Gorge is world renowned for whitewater rafting and kayaking, and is the perfect spot for outdoor enthusiasts and adventurists alike. The area is also close to Tsali biking trails and Fontana Lake. Which will be the perfect spot to leisurely kayak or enjoy a nice afternoon of paddle boarding. If you tire of adventure, Little Bear offers a cozy, quiet gated community with breathtaking long range views of the Smokies.
Little Bear is two bedrooms, and 1.5 baths and will sleep up to 4 guests. The living room area offers comfortable furnishings, gas log stove style fireplace, large flatscreen with satellite service, and two large sliding doors that allow you to enjoy the views both indoors & out on the large deck. The living area is open to the fully stocked kitchen and dining area, so just grab your groceries and enjoy a nice meal at the cabin. The full bath is located on the main level, which features a shower with rainshower head. There is a laundry/utility room also for guest convenience. Up the spiral staircase, you will find two additional bedrooms. The master features gorgeous windows which span the front wall of the bedroom and display a stunning view of the Smokies. This room also features a king sized bed, ample storage space, and futon. The second bedroom features a queen sized bed, flat screen tv with satellite, storage space, and small half bath. The outdoor area of Little Bear Cabin hold loads of charm. The expansive porch is perfect for relaxing and enjoying the beautiful view and crisp mountain air. If your fur babies are tagging along, there is a perfected gated yard for them to enjoy a little outside time. Outside of the gate there is also a covered shed porch with porch swing, and wood stove for enjoying a fire outdoors and maybe some s'mores.
Little Bear Cabin is located in Robbinsville, about a 25 minute drive to Bryson City. Bryson City offers much to those wanting to explore the Smoky Mountains. There you will find the Great Smoky Mountain Railroad, known for the Great Pumpkin Patch Express and Polar Express. You will also find many great local dining venues, Nantahala Brewing Company, and several boutique shops. If you're looking to do a little hiking, enjoy a few waterfalls, tubing, or fly fishing - make sure to check out the Deep Creek area of the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. It's a great, cost free place to enjoy your day. The Cherokee Indian Reservation is just 45 minutes away, where you can check out many historical and cultural places, such as The Museum of the Cherokee Indian, the Oconoluftee Village, and Unto These Hills Drama. You can also enjoy the nightlife of Harrah's Cherokee Casino.
