Wander through the study and out to a pleasant lawn and sit in Adirondack chairs with a beverage, enjoying the view that overlooks Borden Brook with fields & woods beyond. Take in the sounds of running water, hear the birds perched on treetops and possibly catch a glimpse of deer in the adjacent fields. If a little more activity is what you’re looking for, take a five minute stroll to Tiverton 4 Corners for breakfast or lunch at Groundswell, dinner at the Four Corners Grille and ice cream at famous Gray’s Ice cream. Boutique gift shops like Courtyards, galleries and a wonderful bookstore delight the senses. There are also many options for prepared food and small batch cheeses at the Cheese Wheel to bring back home for an enjoyable evening. Walking trails surround, a 500 acre preserve just a 5 minute walk up East road. The FarmCoast is home to beautiful beaches with the closest being Fogland Beach, only 1.5 mile drive away. Bicycle on miles of less travelled country roads that take you by farm stands selling fresh produce and past green pastures sloping down to scenic vistas of the Sakonnet River and Rhode Island Sound. Our favorite sweet corn in August is a 10 minute walk away. Fresh Seafood is readily available at several local shops and impressive wine options are a quick drive. The Giles Chase House is easily accessible to everything South Tiverton has to offer.
