Welcome to Heartwood Cabin, a custom A-Frame located in a small community in Packwood. The community offers private access to the beautiful Cowlitz River a stroll right from Heartwood and on clear days there are great views of towering Butte Peak. Heartwood includes a cedar hot tub, large kitchen, WiFi, 2 bathrooms, a full laundry room, and more. 10 mins to downtown, 60 mins up to Paradise and 30 mins to White Pass. 🏔️🩷

Enjoy the open air from any of the 3 decks on the property. Choose from two covered decks, both upper and lower off the front of the cabin, or the spacious back deck with a relaxing built-in cedar hot tub. Stargazing is a must on those clear PNW nights. Off the back patio you`ll also find a fire pit and a gas grill.

Inside you`ll find the lower level boasts a large open living room with a wood burning stove, queen memory foam 6” floor fold out mattress to enjoy on the main level (as needed), an oversized and fully stocked kitchen with all cooking amenities provided, a full bathroom, and laundry room.

Upstairs is a comfortable open loft with 2 beds (1 queen, 1 full) a seating area, and a half bath.

TV, high speed WiFi, and Netflix are provided, and music can be played through the sound bar via bluetooth. If you want to turn off devices there are games located in the TV stand and a small selection of books can be found in the wine barrel cabinet upstairs as well as several other places throughout the cabin.

Although the wood stove puts out ample heat to keep the place warm, the heat pump with central air is the main heating/cooling system. You`ll find the air conditioning to be a welcome utility on those hot summer days!

🔥 HOT TUB USE & SAFETY DISCLOSURE:

🌊 Outdoor Hot Tub — Use at Your Own Risk

The outdoor hot tub is provided as an amenity for registered adult guests only. Use of the hot tub is entirely at your own risk. Hot tubs pose inherent risks, including but not limited to slips, falls, overheating, loss of consciousness, and drowning. By choosing to use the hot tub, guests assume full responsibility for their personal safety.

🚫 Children & Minors — Strictly Prohibited

Children are not permitted to use the hot tub under any circumstances.
Children must not enter the hot tub and must be supervised by an adult at all times while near the hot tub area.

Failure to comply with this rule may result in immediate loss of hot tub privileges and potential termination of the reservation without refund.

⚠️ Health & Medical Warning

Hot tub use is not recommended for individuals who are pregnant, have heart conditions, high blood pressure, respiratory conditions, or other medical concerns. Guests who are unsure whether hot tub use is safe for them should consult a medical professional prior to use. Guests are solely responsible for determining whether use of the hot tub is appropriate for their health condition.

🍺 Alcohol & Drugs

Use of the hot tub while under the influence of alcohol, cannabis, or drugs is strictly prohibited.

⏱️ Time, Temperature & Safe Use
• Limit hot tub sessions to 15–20 minutes at a time
• Do not adjust water temperature
• Exit immediately if you feel dizzy, lightheaded, or unwell

Extended exposure may cause overheating or injury.

🚫 No Diving or Horseplay
• No diving, jumping, or horseplay in or around the hot tub
• Surfaces may be wet and slippery — use caution when entering and exiting

🛠️ Maintenance & Reporting

The hot tub is professionally serviced and cleaned on a regular schedule. Guests must notify the host immediately if the hot tub appears unsafe, malfunctioning, or damaged. Do not use the hot tub if any safety concern is present.

🔐 Cover Requirement

When not in use, the hot tub cover must remain fully secured. Do not sit, stand, or place objects on the hot tub cover.

✅ Acknowledgment of Risk

By using the hot tub, guests acknowledge and accept all risks associated with its use and agree to follow all posted rules and instructions.

-The hot tub has snap locks to secure the cover to the deck. The cover must be on and secured with snaps anytime the hot tub is not in use. No standing on cover please!

-Absolutely no glassware outdoors or in hot tub. We have plastic cups available for outdoor use.

-No food or beverage in or near hot tub.

🏠 House Rules:
-No more than 6 guests are allowed at the cabin AT ANY TIME without host written approval. There is a $25 charge per guest per night for any more than 4 guests. If you don`t declare the proper amount of guests we will charge the extra guest fees from your deposit.

-Please remove shoes upon entering

-Please flush only toilet paper and nature`s waste down toilet- our septic system is very sensitive.

- No firearms allowed on the property.

-No parties or loud late night activity and be respectful of neighbors. Quiet hours are from 9:00pm to 9:00am.

-Supervise children and pets closely, especially around hot tub and wood stove. There is a screen located under stairs to place around wood stove to help keep your little ones at a safe distance.

-No more than 2 dogs total per stay. Clean up after your pets- bag your solid waste and place in outdoor trash can by the street.

-Do not leave animals unattended at any time and keep them off of furniture and beds. There is a pet hair roller in top left kitchen drawer for those extra furry friends.

-No climbing or standing on cable railing. The cable is meant to protect from a fall but is not intended to support the weight of adults or children.

-Take care on the decks and outdoor stairs. They can be slippery when wet or frozen.

-we provide fire starters and lighters but do NOT provide firewood for the inside wood stove.

-Outdoor fires must be small, supervised at all times, completely contained in provided fire pit and must be fully doused with water after use. Packwood and the surrounding area is very dry and prone to forest fires spring-fall.

- If you`d like to enjoy the outside fire pit please bring your own firewood or there are bundles of firewood in town at Blanton`s Market and Ace Hardware. Do not gather or chop down any wood from forest. Do not burn anything other than fire wood.

-Please be timely with your check out. Our cleaners are on a tight schedule to make cabin ready for next guests.

-As the registered guest you are responsible for making sure other guests are aware of and follow these rules.
