House is very bare bones, empty besides the beds and couch and kitchen stuff. Looks likeThe house is for sale and that is why maybe. Fire alarm had low battery and was chirping every 60 seconds, we were told to dismantle it so we did, but then the room my kids were in did not have a fire alarm. We left to go explore st Pete and got back around 1130 pm and noticed there were extremely bright spotlights on the outside of the house. Those lights shined DIRECTLY into the bedroom windows that only had cheap blinds that didn’t adjust, no curtains. When I reached out, host stated I reached outToo late, which I understand but we were not at the property sooner to see it at night time. The TV in one of the bedrooms did not work. My kids could not sleep with that light and my husband and I could but either. We tried to hang something up for a makeshift curtain but there was nothing to drape it on. Due to this, we ended up leaving at 130 am and driving home.

It is very unusual that a guest who was considering extending their stay and even asking for an additional discount would later leave a review claiming everything was terrible, especially when the reservation already included waived cleaning fees at no extra charge. The property provided much more than the basics for a comfortable stay: clean towels, soap, a refrigerator with an ice dispenser, a cozy backyard with a small pool, and ample parking. I also allowed check-in 3 hours earlier than agreed without charging anything additional. After more than 12 hours at the property, the guest called around midnight requesting curtains. For safety reasons, it was not possible to send maintenance staff out during a storm at that hour, and no maintenance personnel were available at midnight. In any true emergency, I would absolutely have found a way to assist immediately. Additionally, the guest had already messaged earlier saying that everything was fine after check-in. This review does not reflect the actual condition of the property or the level of hospitality provided. Unfortunately, it appears the guest was mainly seeking a larger discount, and when that did not happen, chose to leave a negative and misleading review. Based on this experience, I would not recommend hosting this guest.
