Welcome to The Belvedere. This is a first floor unit in a three-story, Italianate style house designed by renowned architect Stephen Decatur Button and built in the early 1870s. It has been lovingly renovated and exudes Victorian charm. The location is fantastic- one block to the beach, one block to Congress Hall, two blocks to the mall. It has a private enclosed sunporch as well as a shared outdoor porch with rocking chairs. Just park your car in the dedicated parking spot and go!
Enter the unit through your private entrance to the enclosed porch/sunroom- here you'll find a seating area and a daybed for lounging.
Pass through the French door to the main space which includes a sectional sofa, an electric fireplace, smart tv with Comcast Xfinity stream, and a small but fully equipped kitchen. There is also a radio/bluetooth speaker. Get ready to relax with a cup of coffee or tea.
The kitchen is stocked with basics. Any items or snacks that are in the refrigerator or pantry are there for your use. Enjoy a meal seated at the kitchen counter or at the café table on the enclosed porch.
The bathroom has a glass enclosed shower with a rain showerhead. Shampoo, conditioner and body soap are stocked for your use. There are plenty of fluffy towels and washcloths- all 100% cotton.
Onward to the bedroom which is furnished with a king sized bed, built-in wardrobe, and a second smart tv with Comcast Xfinity stream. We provide all needed linens for your stay. Sheets and bedding are 100% cotton and, yes, we do replace the blankets and duvet cover between every guest, every time.
Turkish towels are provided for the beach. These are located in a drawer of the porch daybed. Extra blankets, house slippers, and umbrellas are also located in the drawers. You'll have full access to the unit via the private porch/sunroom entrance.
The shared laundry is on the second floor of the building should you need it.
Outdoor showers are located at the back corner of the house. Bike racks are in the parking lot in case you bring your bike.
