The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Load and start the dishwasher
Gather used towels
Take out the rubbish
Lock the doors
Please place all 1st floor towels & robes on the front bathroom floor. Please place all MEGA Suite towels & robes on the 2nd story full bath floor.
Please gather trash from all 3 floors and place in large green receptacles by the black fence in the driveway.
Please leave all bed linens on the beds-- it's just easier for us to clean, that way :) If there has been a spill or if anything, anywhere is broken, please let us know before ya go :)
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Entry given after $1000.00 security deposit received on day of arrival. Security deposit to be returned day of departure.
NO PARTIES. Extra people beyond those verified when booked, will break contract which triggers eviction, loss of deposit and no refund.
Guest responsible for any and all damage. Damage is assessed at owner's discretion and can include additional charge for any extra cleaning .

Why they chose this property

Our home is located in the heart of New Orleans, in the Mid City neighborhood.
Mid City is a classic New Orleans neighborhood with a combination of old homes, corner restaurants and bars, a little bit of commerce and a whole lot of character.
We're 1/2 block from the Canal St. streetcar, near the Carrollton Ave. intersection. Head towards the river and find the French Quarter, the Superdome or the Marigny. The streetcar going in the opposite direction ( towards the lake) can take you to check out the cemeteries or to City Park, where you can to go to NOMA or get some coffee and beignets at Cafe Du Monde or just stroll through the sculpture garden. The Greenway bike path is just blocks away. Being in Mid City gives you easy access to Uptown, Downtown and the French Quarter, City Park, Bayou St. John and the Fairgrounds, where Jazz Fest is held. Actually, all the fests are convenient when you're in Mid City!
Mandina's restaurant and Espiritu are just out the door---so many restaurants and bars within easy walking distance!
Walgreen's is 3 blocks, Rouse's grocery store is 5 blocks, Whole Foods just 2 miles, and Trader Joe's and Costco, each only 1.2 miles away.
We even have a yoga studio in stretching distance!
From sipping cocktails outside at Finn McCool's, to grabbing a coffee at French Truck to wandering down Bayou St. John to City Park, there are so many awesome things to do in our neighborhood!

What makes this property unique

When we bought our home (20 years ago!), it was a one story shotgun double that had been neglected for years and then forgotten after hurricane Katrina. We fell in love with it and soon lifted it up in the air and added porches all around! The little house became the Porch House!
We created this  fantastic  porch home for folks to have a retreat from the hustle and bustle when they come to visit our action packed city. We love sharing our Mid City getaway with guests from all over the world!
