The Space:

The cool, clear waters of Little St. Germain Lake are just beyond the trees from this two-bedroom cabin in St. Germain. Enjoy a view of the lake filtered through the pines, as well as resort amenities that include a dock, a sandy-bottom swimming area, and a firepit at the water's edge. This cabin sits in the southwestern corner of Little St. Germain Lake, one of the most popular lakes in the area for northern pike, largemouth bass, musky, panfish, and walleye. You'll be close to the St. Germain Bike Trail and the Bo Boen Snowmobile Trail, and an easy stroll from shops, restaurants, and an ice cream store in town. After a day spent out on the water, come home by way of the three-season porch - a window-lined room where you can play cards, sip cold drinks, and take in a view of the lake even when summer rains pass through. There's also a gas grill on the side patio for evening barbecues in the fresh pine air. The interior is simple and comfortable, offering a country kitchen, a dining table for four, and a living room where you can play board games, watch DVDs, and unwind in the warmth of the electric pellet stove. Future travelers should be aware that the cabin sits across the road from the lake and does not have air conditioning. The indoor temperatures reached around 90 degrees during our mid-summer stay and there were several maintenance, plumbing, and general cleanliness issues during our visit. We notified the host, and they let us know they plan to correct these items for the next guests.

The neighborhood where the rental was located was great, probably a little too close to Highway 70 for our liking. The living quarters were very tight for our needs. Property needs to be updated, the electrical is questionable at best. Things we would plug-in would fall right out of the wall seems like an electrical hazard.Many updates are needed at this property for the price paid. The bed we slept in, was very uncomfortable. Futon/couch in the living room was exceptionally squeaky and not comfortable to sit on.Lastly, did not like working through a third-party it was not located nearby.

This was a nice little cabin for my sister and I. Not as close to the water as I thought but it’s nice seeing it from the windows. Lots of wildlife walking through here. Fox and deer. Not a lot of traffic through the cabin area which was nice. Great location to head to minoqua.

Very nice cabin for the money!

Very quiet and clean. Very nice size. Well supplied. Close to town. Not right on lake but just a short walk down the hill. We stayed there end of September.

Super cute

Cottage was cute and perfect for us with our dog. The yard area is small for a dog but swimming in the lake made up for that. Nice walking trail access right across the main road and close to restaurants and stores for those items you forget to bring.

Worked out

With easy entry the cottage was nice, close to town and supplied well. It had sufficient space mostly needed a place to sleep. We were disappointed it was not located directly on the lake as we thought it would be from description. You can see a little of the lake but it's across the driveway and past a cottage. The shower needs updating. Worked out ok.

Fun to be had

Clean little cabin on par with other area resorts. It is very close to main road. Great for access to amenities and events, but during the day you will hear traffic. Nice lake access. More than 2 cars could get tricky. Every thing worked and we could have pets. Bike trail is across the highway, as well as snowmobile trail in the winter. In town 70 is UTV rout. Not far from best breakfast spot in the area, DJ’s north woods. Great pizza and burgers as well as fish at Nockers. St. Germain is a Fun little down with good fishing.
