It was alarming to be greeted by 3 dogs that roamed freely in the yard. They turned out to be very friendly, but it would have been nice to know that prior to entering the yard. It was a bit scary not knowing!Yard was quite messy and smelled of dog poop!

The listing does note that the owner has dogs that may be seen in the separate yard behind the home, but we understand that encountering three rather than two was unexpected. We spent four nights at Kristallhaus and loved it. The pictures represented the property accurately. The space was lovely--modern and cozy at the same time. The bed and bedding was very nice. Each side of the bed had a reading light on the wall. The bathroom was great--spacious, good lighting, nice shower. The kitchenette provided everything we needed. There is no dishwasher but dish-washing supplies were provided. Also on the property were two sweet old dogs and some beautiful chickens. We talked to the owner a couple of times and he was friendly and helpful. He even gave us a dozen fresh eggs. Location is a three-block walk to downtown and quick access to the main highway. We would definitely stay here again.
